Senior Management

Resourceful, innovative professional with over 20 years General and Operations Management experience within a broad range of companies and products. Held P&L responsibilities. Expertise in initiating projects and programs that boost efficiency and productivity while enhancing employee knowledge. A true Hands-on Manager with proven skills in analysis, budgeting, coordination, troubleshooting, strategic planning, scheduling, observation, and improvement of operations through policies that promote a team-based work atmosphere, superior customer service, creative thinking and a positive result for the corporate bottom line.

Selected Responsibilities and Accomplishments

Managed all aspects of a company location including development of marketing plans, recruitment, hiring and training of staff, budgeting, P&L, scheduling work and activities, establishing policies and procedures, procurement of equipment and supplies, client relations, performance evaluations and motivation of employees.

Boosted productivity through review and restructure of 3 departments under 1 category, so they would better assist each other throughout the day, ensuring all items were in stock, reducing wasted time and building a better team atmosphere.

Improved employee bonus potential while decreasing costs by putting into place new standard operating procedures along with training on how to load outgoing trailers. Succeeded in proving to the associated employees how 2,250 cartons could be loaded into a trailer over the bonus standard of 1,900. More products moved out while bonus potential increased.

Resolved the lack of budget for entertaining potential customers of a staffing company. Had a foodservice company bring prepared and wrapped sandwiches along with drinks and chips I purchased that was sold to workers and deducted from their daily paychecks should they wish to participate. Any monies left over were put into the customer entertainment pot.

Increased company community exposure by participating and selling water at 5 different locations in the Relay for Life segment of Brooksville’s first Blueberry Festival. The City agreed to waive the booth fee allowing us to market our business while selling water.

Enhanced morale through promotion of a team-based work atmosphere. Provided assignments of increased responsibility along with opportunities for additional training and challenging performance incentives that encouraged a sense of ownership in the overall operation.

Evaluated a company location in which an audit determined numerous products out-of-stock. Talked with associates and found a bypassing of the checks and balances that ensured the product on the shelves. Reestablished standard operating procedures and trained associates on maintenance of the automated ordering system resolving the problem.

Increased sales revenue by planning a Midnight Madness Sale to increase customer exposure to the location. Met with senior leadership to discuss pricing, purchase limits, free promotional items, quantities needed, vendor communications and staffing needed. This successful 7-hour event yielded record sales and a good time for all.

Analyzed state regulations in preparation for state audits. Evaluated store conditions, protocols and ongoing training to ensure compliance. Met with employees to re-establish expectations. Every state audit administered within a 5 year period was passed, 10 in all.

Reduced the number 1 violation for audits, out-date-meat products. Researched best practices and implemented a new color dating process that determined the day by site that a meat needed to be pulled, improving the customer experience, and virtually eliminating this infraction in audits.

Orchestrated a scheduled shutdown splitting 1 shift into 2 shifts for 2 weeks. Analyzed staffing needs it was determined that the 1st shift’s workload 15% heavier than the 2nd shift. Asked for volunteers to work the 2nd shift utilizing transferrable skills filling positions needed on both shifts.

Improved the customer experience by moving overnight stockers from their normal 10:30pm-7am shift to 4pm-12:30am shift. With more people in the store during the slow evening hours customers now always had someone to talk to if they could not find something. This also deterred theft possibilities.
