University Projects
+ Kernels Exploration in SVM, University of Houston: Made an elaborate study over selecting and customizing the kernels on multivariate data-models for a support vector machine (SVM) classifier using R.
+ Graph the web using MapReduce, University of Houston: Developed a Java MapReduce program to calculate ranks (for both Indegree and Outdegree) in a small model of the world wide web (Developed via Random Crawl), using graphs.
+ Pseudo Relational Database,University of Houston: Developed a simple relational database system from the scratch, which handles basic SQL operations like CREATE,UPDATE,SELECT,DELETE,INDEX and DROP using Java.
+ K Means and Canopy Clustering of Netflix Data Set, University of Houston: Implemented Clustering algorithm on Netflix data set to find people with similar taste in movie using K means on SPARK in cluster mode.
+ Localized Support Vector Machine, University of Houston: Have implemented the Profile Support Vector Machine (PSVM) and (K-Nearest Neighbor Support Vector Machine)K-NN SVM. Then evaluated and analyzed the performance of these local algorithms over global SVM (Support Vector Machines) using technologies like Python (NumPy, Matplotlib and scikit-learn).
+ Digit Recognizer, Kaggle data science contest: Performed classification of handwritten single digit to determine what digit it is using the MNIST dataset which uses the pixels of the image to classify the digits. Used technologies like Python (NumPy, Matplotlib and scikit-learn) and PIL(python image lib).
+ Mining Frequent K+ Itemsets, University of Houston: Implementing a pattern mining algorithm (Apriori Algorithm) on set of Products
and Purchase Transaction from Amazon website using Java. This enables us to find products that are bought together and later help suggest customers what to buy in addition to the items already in cart.
+ VoIP Call Quality Optimization through Cloud Computing, Anna University: Introduced an optimized technique to improve call quality by monitoring latency, jitter and packet loss continuously while creating multiple MOS profiles to observe call quality.
