Operation of entire plant including boilers, generators, pumps, A/C and light duty maintenance. Since being hired at great Lakes, I have learned the entire plant system including the new co-generation equipment in record time. I was standing watch alone in my duty station in only one month’s time.

Working with little or no supervision, the my responsibilities included the following:
Responsible for HVAC control and maintenance, laundry facility maintenance, and boiler operation and maintenance.
Reconfigured the boiler operational controls, saving the company hundreds of dollars a week in natural gas costs.
Responsible for planned maintenance of the laundry equipment as well as all the repairs, saving the company money on outside repair calls. Since taking over the laundry maintenance, calls for first and second shift repairs dropped from many times a day to once a week, if any.

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the entire facility. Managed 6 employees, coordinated safety inspections, set-up and enabled major plant cleaning, coordination of outside contractor work, and purchasing of new equipment. Needed little or no supervision to accomplish these tasks. All these projects were completed on time and within budget.
Implemented the first planned maintenance program run there in over 10 years, making successful advances in machine downtime as well as tracking repair parts and inventory. The engineering department was the only one in the building that stayed under budget for hourly wages and supply costs.
7/1998 - 8/2000 Westin O'Hare Hotel Rosemont, IL
3rd Shift Building Engineer
Responsibilities included all light bulb replacement (over 20,000) throughout the hotel, planned maintenance in the laundry and major repairs to equipment, guest room maintenance and repair as well as kitchen planned maintenance. These tasks and many more were completed without supervision, and inspected daily for accuracy and quality of work.
