Previous Experience-
Worked as a resident at Eye Care and Research Centre, Srinagar in Comprehensive Ophthalmology for two years in 2005 and 2009.
Worked as a Demonstrator at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences, Jammu in Pharmacology for three years from 2006-2009.
Surgical Experience-
During my Post graduation I developed keen interest in Cornea and that is the reason for joining fellowship programme at Shroff’s Hospital. During my fellowship at Shroff’s I was involved in all aspects of patient care including diagnostic evaluation, preoperative preparation and post-operative management of patients. I was running independent OPD’s twice a week.
During my Cataract and Micro surgery Fellowship I have done more than 900 cataract surgeries including about 200 Phacoemulsifications.
During my Cornea Fellowship I have done more than 70 Optical and Therapeutic Keratoplasty and Amniotic Membrane Grafting.
I have performed few independent Triple procedures as well.
During my fellowship programme I was also posted at various peripheral centres of Shroff’s for about eight months where I use to conduct independent cataract surgeries in hundreds in a month.
At present I can independently perform the following procedures
Extra Capsular Cataract Surgery, Small incision Cataract surgery, Phacoemulsification.
Pterygium Surgery with Conjunctival Auto Graft.
Amniotic Membrane Grafting.
Optical Keratoplasty.
Therapeutic Keratoplasty.
