Security Integration Manager

Datacenter Director, Infrastructure Program Manager

The lead datacenter architect designed the datacenter, then provided leadership into a Hands-On role, which managed the team that built the Production Watson Datacenter. The Datacenter hosted cloud based production cognitive applications and application demonstrations.

The Watson Production Datacenter program is focused on the latest Power 8 and Intel server hardware. Including over 240 virtual and stand-alone servers, into a (PaaS) hybrid cloud infrastructure to maintain and contain 100 presentations and demonstrations on the effects and capabilities of the Watson Cognitive Computer.

Watson Programs

Partnered with a major global media and entertainment (WPP/GroupM) Print, Film, TV, Web, BI Analytic providers to produce a Cognitive system which would output digital content viewers would like to see within a specific demographic. In this role, I was tasked to solve complex business problems and deliver value by leveraging Hardware Systems while exploiting Open Source software portfolios, to drive revenue and reduce costs. The Digital Advertising Cognitive systems delivered consisted of IBM Hybrid Cloud infrastructures though Softlayer, on Red Hat Power Systems, and XiV virtual Storage Servers, all connected to dual 40 Gb/Sec redundant storage, video and neural data networks. The applications were developed and tested under IBM’s Blue Mix development environment, and were transferred to the production environment this architect designed.
