ENGINEERING PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
Deterministic Optimization project during Masters at Wayne state University
Proposed an optimal delivery route to minimize the transportation cost for a corporation that supplies water from a reservoir to different societies in Pune city, India.
By taking constraints into consideration, applied assignment and binary model to determine the route for each truck which departs from the reservoir. From the logic developed, reduced transportation cost by 794 USD. Six-sigma project during Masters at Wayne state University.
Improved Overall yield of an object landing distance from the catapult by reducing the defects causing variation and lower the rejection rate of the catapult less that 10%.
Used tools like SIPOC, Fishbone, SPC to analyze the process and identify the root cause.
Performed DOE with the help of Minitab to get the accurate landing distance, suggested an appropriate angle of the moving arm and fixed arm.
MRP DSS Project, Wayne State University.
Used DSS simulation excel sheet to figure out manufacturing resources planning of a Greek Manufacturing aiming for maximizing profit by an optimal release of orders and inventory.
Developed MRP with the help of BOM provided for the product and forecasted the demand using exponential smoothing technique
Framed a plan for the release of commodities to match with the predicted demand which led to generate a profit about $1million by maintaining low inventory.
Lean manufacturing project- Siemens Ltd.
Worked to ameliorate the site execution & customer satisfaction by reducing the short supply to the customers and reducing the customer complaints about a company Siemens, India.
Performed comprehensive root cause analysis and eliminated the primary cause permanently and used 5S activity to standardize the work area.
Reduced search time for the workers by 30% and customer complaints by 46%. CERTIFICATION
Certified Lean 6-Sigma DMAIC Methodology at the Green Belt Level ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Worked as a student assistant at Wayne State University.
Coordinated for street cause, NGO activity.
Participated in many blood donation camps which held in undergrad college. EDUCATION
