Client Mortgage Loan Amortization
Developed the loan amortization process through excel functions with different periods (15 vs. 30 years) and interest rate (3.3% vs. 4%) from TD bank database to obtain the total amount paid at end of period. Observed the influence with different periods and interest rates on savings. Result: The shorter loan period with lower interest rates saves more money. (The period with 15 years with 3.3% saves $ 72985.5 than period of 30 years with 4%).
Comparison of Three Models on Capital Budgeting (NPV, Payback & IRR) Constructed net present value approach discounted cash flows by weighted average cost of capital to determine whether projects will be profitable or not. Analyzed payback period among projects by calculating payback periods. Calculated Internal rate of return to make comparison among projects. Result: Achieved a conclusion that NPV model is the favorable approach among analysis. The projects that with positive NPV, lower payback periods, and IRR> cost of capital should be accepted. Common Stock Valuation for Ale House (Discount Cash Flow Model) Produced a report of predictable free cash flow in 5 years by using historic data from Ale House to calculate terminal value.
Established discount cash flow model by discounting all free cash flows to obtain the total value of firm and value of equity $ 46356.16; calculated estimated price per share $ 9.27. Result: Implemented a decision that not to invest in Ale House since the current share price of $ 20 is overvalued compare to the calculated stock price of $ 9.27.
