PROFILE

I am a Clinical/medical microbiologist with 3 years of academic, clinical, diagnostic and

research experiences. I have been teaching medical microbiology to Postgraduate students of

Microbiology. My teaching experiences includes traditional, problem based and team based

learning curriculums in medical education. I have been continuously involved in clinical

diagnostic services and infection control programs in the university affiliated hospital. I am

an enthusiastic team player and a strong believer of honesty.

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical microbiology services to the seven hundred bedded super specialty hospital

Offer clinical liaison with referring doctors and advise them on microbiology reports

Participate in hospital infection control and surveillance programs

Perform the internal and external quality control programs in the laboratory

Manage infections, including those relating to specialist units such as cardiothoracic surgery,

intensive-care, neurosurgery and oncology

Supervise the day to day running of the different sections of microbiology laboratory on rotation

basis

Teach medical microbiology to Postgraduate students of Microbiology and undergraduate

students as well

Facilitate small group discussions, group activities and laboratory sessions

Perform and publish research outputs carried out in the department

4. Prevelance of Hepatitis B & D coinfection in Kashmir

5. Characterize and determine the virulence factors of staphylococcus aureus

from clinical isolates in a tertiary care hospital.

6. Prevalence of H1N1 infection in patients presenting with acute viral infection in

Kashmir.
