Credit Manager
Direct account management for the entire credit portfolio of 3,000 accounts with active credit lines totaling over $300M.
Performed detailed financial analysis as to mitigate risk, maintain the existing portfolio, and to properly vet all new and existing accounts. Maintained a database for all new and increase coverage requests made to our insurers, factor, or inventory financing partners.
High risk or slow paying accounts were transitioned to a secured terms. Declined accounts were managed through letters of credit or cash in advance. Established a new on-boarding policy to expedite the review process for new accounts. Created a credit card process to assist in qualifying marginal accounts for direct business with Haier.
Incorporated a formal Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer procedure to ensure compliance with AML and KYC regulations for the corporate credit policy. Ensured that all account were created using the correct and legal business name as well and to assist with billing issues.
Oversee collections to manage exposure and facilitate order release. Implemented action plans to standardize account terms to 30, 60, and 90 days by product category to ensure proper aging and to reduce DSO. Persistent collection accounts were converted to CIA, floorplan, or letter of credit. Realized an improvement in DSO to approximately 60 days once the slow paying accounts were determined. Haier’s direct point of contact for issues requiring legal intervention.
Conducted ongoing credit, AML and KYC training for all credit and finance staff.
