Career

History SK E&C USA, Inc. Sr Principal Process Engineer – Deputy Manager (05/2010 - 04/2017)

Uintah Refinery Process Lead – Pre FEED design of a 40 MBD crude oil refinery to process waxy crude oil (Black and Yellow) to obtain Naphtha, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD), Vacuum Gas Oil (VGO), Deasphalted Oil (DAO), and Pitch (Heavy Residue).

Lake Charles Clean Energy (LCCE) Process Lead - The Project consists of gasification of petcoke, raw sour syngas shifting, treating the raw sour syngas as necessary to produce Hydrogen and Methanol with co-production of Sulfuric Acid, Argon Rare Gases and CO2. The gasification unit consists of 3 gasifiers to process 7,200 STPD total of petroleum coke in the presence of Oxygen. The Acid Gas Removal Unit for this project is the Rectisol process. The Sulfur Recovery Unit processes the acid gas from the Rectisol Unit and the Sour Water Stripper to produce 1600 STPD Sulfuric Acid in two trains. A Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Unit produces 110 MMSCFD of 99.9 % Hydrogen. The production of the Methanol Unit is 4,200 STPD. Argon and rare gases are also produced.

Junin Project Process Lead - Development of the Conceptual and Basic Engineer to increase the pumping capacity of the pipelines (Diluted Crude Oil and Naphtha) that interconnect Jose and San Diego de Cabrutica. The implementation of this project will allow increasing the current transportation capacity of Diluent Naphtha from 135 MBPD to 240 MBPD and DCO from 520 MBPD to 860 MBPD.

Refinería del Pacífico (RDP) Delayed Coker Unit Process Engineer – Worked in the technology integration of a DCU for a grass-root refinery with a processing capacity of 300 MBD. The design encompasses state of the art process units, offsite storage capacity and Utilities to cover local fuel requirements as well as some specific petrochemicals. Major activities completed: Review and approve documents from Licensor during PDP and FEED. Additionally, attended DCU HAZOP and developed the Refinery Overall Operational and Maintenance Philosophy.
