The Project Amex IDN DWX data migration/Datapush support is about Sybase to Teradata Transformation of the existing Sybase Databases (IQP0; IQA0; IQC0) to Teradata (6650 and 1650) databases. It includes all the usable/re-usable components, component design, data migration strategy, external interfaces and program level specifications for this project. Currently, data is stored in multiple Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ database systems. Data stored in Sybase IQ is planned to be migrated to Teradata systems in multiple waves and will be divided into three key groups: Hot, Warm and Cold. The Hot data, warm data and cold data may reside in the same Teradata system. The Teradata Disaster Recovery tool ‘Datamover’ is automation and tools for data recovery and archiving.

Responsibilities:

•Data migration from existing IQC0/ColdQ environments (required for full width rows)

•Inventory and categorization of all tables into patterns like Append,Double delete,Backward Dedupe,Forward Dedupe,Onetime Load,Custom etc.,

Application GDPFF (GDP Frequent Flyer)

GDPFF deals with Frequent Flyer Information and generating accrual, accrual hand back, retro, retro hand back, top tier and billings files with the traveled information and exchanges those files to/from profile and partner airlines via GDPFF. And is a pivot in the Loyalty Business. Profile also stores data at the Passenger, Bookings, Revenue and Flight level from the corresponding source systems and its acts a administrative system for awarding frequent flyer points to Frequent Flyers.

Application CMI (Customer Management Information)

CMI deals in earn and burn points of Frequent Flyer Information and generating campaigns for business. And is a pivot in the Loyalty Business. CMI also stores data at the Passenger, Bookings, Revenue and Flight level from the corresponding source systems. Was involved in 24/7 support. Besides, my work in CMI involved, solving problem tickets and severity issues working on service requests, communicating with interface systems to solve mutual problems, delivering Work Orders as part of Enhancements. Coordinating with Onsite/Off-shore for transferring the knowledge on Application and process.

Adhered to the process and contractual obligations by attaining proficiency in managing tool ESM.

Application CDW (Corporate Data Warehouse)

It’s the Bookings and Traveled Warehouse of Passengers. Worked in solving one highest level of severity issue and supported application for a brief period. And even while in CMI, coordinated with CDW.

Application GSI (Group Schedules Inventory)

GSI, a central corporate database of all flight Schedules (Operated, Allocated or scheduled). Worked with team here in resolving highest severity production issue. Worked as application SPOC for a brief period, managed major Outage, coordinated System Integration testing with client for project GOLF from GSI perspective (GSI was most prominently impacted). Transitioned applications knowledge before moving out to CMI.

Responsibilities:

• Involved heavily in writing complex SQL queries based on the given requirements.

• Created a generic email notification program in UNIX that sends the emails to the production support team if there are any duplicate records or error in load process.
