SENSEAWARE
Client : FedEx Innovations
Role : Automation Test Engineer
Duration : 15th Jan 2011 to 28th Mar 2014 (3 Years)
Team Size : 13 Tester
Project Overview :
SenseAware - Powered by FedEx is a new, innovative technology that’s leading the way in the exciting field of sensor-based logistics (SBL). Its is a combination of cutting-edge hardware and advanced software systems, Which uses sophisticated sensors to detect temperature, light, humidity, barometric pressure, and location, which provides enhanced visibility during shipping, and allowing to take control of supply chain. Using a multi-sensor device, SenseAware collects and transmits data from inside packages, pallets, trailers, and warehouses using wireless communication. The data is sent in near real-time to a powerful online application for monitoring and analysis.
Sense Aware (SA) Application is a web based application which allows users to define, monitor, and analyze critical and sensitive shipments by logging into the SA and viewing real-time data, such as location alerts, temperature alerts, and even light exposure (to determine if the package has been opened prematurely). Allows customers to place sensors in their high value packages like medical devices and monitor various data during a packages journey.
SenseAware SM powered by FedEx is a service that gives real time data about shipments and the ability to share that information collaboratively with business partners. A multi sensor device deeply integrated with a powerful web based application currently enables healthcare and life science customers to stay connected to their most critical shipments/packages.

Project#2
CGN (Cologne Hub Scanning System)
Client : FedEx (Logistics and Transportation Company in U.S.A)
Role : Test Engineer (Manual Testing)
Duration : July 2008 to Jan 14th 2011
Team Size : 5 - Tester
Description: CGN hub at Cologne, Germany is the most advanced automated hub in the FedEx Express Network. The hub utilizes a “Vander Lander Loop Sorter” and “Siemens Doc Sorter” to automatically route packages throughout the hub. The components of the system in use at Cologne consists of the following:
S3.BLU – this component is the main business logic of the system. It sends and receives / process messages from all external systems and internal systems. Manifest data is received from VISA and clearance data from ATLAS (Local GTS System) and packages will be routed to an OutFeed Split. An example of an OutFeed Split is FRA (Frankfurt). S3.BLU will also provide screens for the users to manually enter data for reference data and transaction data. S3.BLU will send scans to COSMOS and ATLAS when a package is scanned. The S3.BLU system is hosted on a LINUX server in Brussels and uses an ORACLE database.
S3.GSS – this component is used to control the automated “Vander Lander Belt System” and the “Siemens Doc Sorter” to route packages within the hub; it will also encompass the functionality currently provided by S3.SCU. This system will be hosted in Cologne on a UNIX server and will have a local database to record package and scan data but as well as setup data and event logging.
PHASAR – this component is used at OutFeed to build CONS. The scan guns are connected to a central system in the US via a local flat panel which is in turn connected to a local server. When a CONS is opened packages are added, the status of each package is checked by performing a lookup in the S3.BLU system, if the check is negative the operator is informed of this and the package may not be added until it passes this check. It is possible to remove a package once it has been added as long as the CONS has not been closed. PHASAR adds scans to COSMOS to record this; When a CONS is closed a message is sent to S3.BLU where it is shipped. The Siemens Doc Sorter consolidates documents into a CONS and sends the data to PHASAR for onward transmission to COSMOS
