My name is Sarah Allison and I am writing to you in regards of working as a Project Manager. Having cultivated an array of work experience and a track record of success, I believe I am an ideal candidate for the position. My last PM position was for Joshua Babyak down in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. I managed his companies in the US and Costa Rica. Some of his companies include construction sites in Hacienda Pinilla, Mist Away Pesticides, Ful Sol Farms, and Brilliant Minds Learning Center. Before that I 'managed' a classroom full of elementary school students as well as high school students at Country Day School in Brasilito, Costa Rica. Needless to say, my transition into the project management field and working with actual-sized people has been a much-welcomed job perk. Working for Mr. Babyak has allowed me to hone my organizational, communication, problem solving, and managerial skillsets. Living in Costa Rica for the past 6 years has allowed me to become bilingual as well.
A little bit more about my professional life: I am PMP certified through PMI as of September 2016 and I am also a member of the PMI South Carolina Midlands Chapter. I have risen to the challenge of facilitating meetings, organizing budgets, acquiring employees, letting them go, organizing public events, creating budgets, managing workspaces, organizing and constructing new work places, editing professional documents and even pitching in to manage a social media account or upload content to WordPress… often-times having to do so fluently in both Spanish and English. My international work experience and working with non-profits, such as CEPIA and Abriendo Mentes, has given me the opportunity to develop a diplomatic work ethic that balances flexibility and strong leadership. Working with these programs has allowed me to work closely with a diverse group of people, to help better the Guanacaste community. Most importantly, I continue to foster a resilient work ethic, incorporating personal accountability, adaptability and a team-mentality into the core pillars of being successful at project management.
I am eager to learn the ropes at your company and would appreciate the opportunity to become an effective project manager and overall asset to the company. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to receiving your response.
Sincerely,
Sarah Allison
