Just a quarter century ago, most people used landlines, watched one of the three major networks for news, used travel agents to book trips and thought fax machines were miraculous. Few had ever imagined the idea of social media, on-line shopping, self-driving cars or artificial intelligence. What will the next 25 years bring? Almost certainly, even more, faster change than before. To succeed in that environment, most organizations are going to need people who can generate creative new ideas and quickly adapt to new environments, and who can still hold true to the principles and central vision of their organizations.

As a kid, I always wished for something bigger than what my hometown Oslo, Norway could provide. At the age of 20 I moved to West Chester PA. In my new country I had to adjust to new phrases, different social customs, and even something as simple as the appropriate amount of money to leave as a tip. It was challenging, but also energizing, to adapt to my new environment while still maintaining my sense of self.

Along the way, serving as a marketing and social media intern for two companies and as an aide to a mayoral campaign, I discovered a talent and an obsession for using storytelling to create content and communicate ideas. I have come to understand that storytelling whether in written, visual or audio format is a very effective way to engage audiences and transmit information and concepts. Maybe because I love it so much, I am able to do it successfully under tight deadlines and difficult circumstances, and still meet client goals and maintain client relationships.
