Praj Industries Ltd. July 2014 – May 2015

Executed the project on ‘Design and Manufacturing of Cantilever Jib Crane’

Carried out VSM to find the bottlenecks in process flow and then decided the implementation of crane.

The shop had an EOT crane of 15-ton capacity which was a bottleneck which caused wastage of 2 hour/day.

Used lean concepts of TPM, TQM, 5S, Visual Management and Kaizen.

Designed the components of crane and made a bill of material for cost analysis.

Implementation of the crane improved the productivity and the shop floor area.

ThyssenKrupp India June– July 2013

Conducted Value stream mapping of the entire shop floor and found bottleneck in the process to improve the production rate and the efficiency of the shop floor.

Also, made use of several lean tools like 5s and implemented them for improving the productivity of the plant.

PROJECTS

Implementation of Lean manufacturing principles May – July 2016

Implemented the Lean principles to optimize the flow of inventory reduction of components in an Auto-parts industry. Using root-cause analysis I was able to figure out the NVA’s and the reason of low production.

Using lean manufacturing principles, NVA’s were eliminated, scrap was reduced and productivity was increased by 13.80%.

MRP-DSS Simulation Project January – April 2016

For a manufacturing company, to have maximum profit, MRP techniques are considered for finding out, capacity management, BOM’s, scheduling, routing, forecasting and prioritizing.

Using Excel simulation model tabulated out optimal possible profit the company can generate with regression

Conceptualization for Drones in Library using product development tools September – December 2016

Designed a drone for a library in ordered to assist the librarians in their daily work, reduce the time taken while delivering the book and make sure that customer needs are met.

Made use of House of Quality to understand the customer demands and the performance measures.

Used TRIZ inventive principles for keeping it simple on one hand but advanced in technology as well as did the environmental impact of the product using Cool-Slice software

Digital Automation September – December 2016

Automated an assembly line of the manufacturing industry making mufflers of two-wheelers.

Made use of the USA principle to solve the issue that was causing problem.

The problem of toppling of pallet was tackled by using Reed switch and automated AGV.
