Professional Experience
Sanvista Technologies Inc., Edison, NJ Position: Design Trainee September 2016 – June 2017
Trained in Advanced Siemens UG-NX-CAD (10.0) and worked on projects in consumer electronic packaging and automotive trims focusing on Design for manufacturability (DFM)..
Remastered plastic components of automotive interiors such as interior door trims, pillars and dash from STEP IGES files without known part history.
Designed sheet metal features and B side plastic parts of automotive seating as per requirement of the customer. Hands on experience in assembly design, 2D drafting and GD&T as prescribed in the ASME Y14.5M.
Focused on KAIZEN with Six Sigma for continuous improvements
SIU, Carbondale, IL Position: Research Assistant - Project for Illinois Clean Coal Institute (ICCI) Jan 2014- August 2016
Developed diffusion coating for a Furnace of a Coal Power Plant in Ohio by pack cementation at 900-1000 C, to reduce corrosion and maintenance cost of parts, on P91 steel. Worked in material selection and employed Kaizen approach.
Conducted thermogravimetric analysis on Ti and Zr coated P91 steel using TGA in laboratory.
Tested the oxidation on coated metals using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and EDX, to reduce CO2 emission.
ASHOK LEYLAND, Chennai, India Position: Intern Jan- Feb 2013
Developed improvements for the cooling of turbochargers in heavy vehicles, designing a separate cooling region that bypasses the inefficient Charge Air Cooler (CAC) system.
Remodeled and improvised turbocharger design by adding cooling chamber using CATIA software.
FEA and CFD analysis done on the newly proposed design of powertrain cooling systems, ANSYS Software.
AMTEK AUTO LIMITED, Bhopal, India. Position: Intern Jan 2012
CNC machining processes were learnt for connecting rod assemblies, gears and assemblies, steel forging etc.
Remodeled the 3D designs under the supervision of design engineers using Pro Engineering software.
Detailed FEA (finite element) analysis is done.

Academic Projects
-Design and analysis of Cylindrical Pressure Vessels
Utilized CATIA and ANSYS software to conduct a detailed analysis and comparison between Aluminum 6061 and low-carbon steel materials to determine the best for material selection.
-Design and fabrication of multi-section pneumatic drill jig
Designed and built a pneumatic drill jig using AUTOCAD software to reduce the time required to fix pieces manually.
-Designed the floor map for a Hospital site located in Atlanta, Georgia.
The renovation of hospital was suggested using HVAC concepts.
