Seeking full-time role to add value in a challenging envi- ronment
Professional Summary:
Navatha is an optimistic and experienced Mechanical Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience. She is good in interacting with customers about their requirements and quality of output and demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate and support ideas that maintain and improve Quality of product.
Technical Skills:
Tooling machines: Lathe, Welding, Laser cutting, Plasma cutting, Profile cutting and forming machines, CNC ma- chines, Finishing, Die casting, Injection moulding, Blow moulding, FEMA, Callipers, Micrometers.
CAD Tools: Auto Cad, Ansys, Catia (Basic).
Other Software: Matlab, Microsoft Office Suite, C pro- gramming, Part Nesting Software, SMAW Process, PPAP Process, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma Process, Basic knowledge of OME painting.
Key Work Experience:
Worked as Quality Engineer in TKM industries resolv- ing issues with Root Cause Analysis Process using tools
-Callipers, Tape measure, Micrometers, Gauges. Her work has resulted in increased profitability of the TQM unit in TKM industries
Worked as Manufacturing Engineer in TKM industries and designed required components using AutoCad. She has hands-on experience on lathe and welding machines for producing the machinery parts. Her work using Six Sigma process has resulted in reduction of wastage and duration in Manufacturing at TKM industries.
Key Graduate Level Projects:
Designed the Venturi Scrubber in 3D using Ansys
workbench (fluent) with specific dimensions for
analysing Liquid Flow behavior
Developed a power plant model using Rankin cycle with Reheat and coal as input for ‘Detroit needs more power’ and improved efficiency with application of Six Sigma methodology
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
TKM Industries: January 2014 – December 2014
Position: Quality Engineer
She worked as a Quality Engineer and resolved the quality issues by Root Cause Analysis process.
Responsible for discussing with the customers about the requirements regarding quality they needed and supported the ideas of manufacturing team to improve and maintain the quality of output.
Responsible towards testing the design and quality of output and reached the customer expectations.
Her support for manufacturing team improved the quality of output and used to discuss the time taken by the machinery to produce the component by ensuring the timely execution.
She tested the Quality using different tools like Callipers, Tape measure, Micrometers, Gauges, and used basic Root Cause Analysis for detecting the problem in the machinery.
Supported the TQM unit in Quality testing for increasing the profitability of the organization. TKM Industries: May 2013 – December 2013
Position: Manufacturing Engineer
She designed the required components in AutoCAD and worked as a manufacturing engineer with hands on experience on lathe machine, welding machine for producing required machinery parts.
Performed a key role for communicating with the customers about their requirements and analyzing the time and cost for the required output and developing the plant process layout before starting the project.
Her responsibility for developing statements of work, including design requirements, cost and schedule estimates lead the company to meet the dead lines which increased the profits with the Customer satisfaction by reducing the duration and wastage with her technical skills using six sigma methodologies. PROJECTS:
Analyzing the liquid flow behavior in Venturi Scrubber: October 2016– December 2016 Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, USA
She designed the Venturi Scrubber in 3D using Ansys workbench (fluent) with specific dimensions and inserted an injector at the tip and designed an inlet for air to enter the scrubber to contact the liquid.
Generated an Inflation layer for obtaining best results and analysed the liquid flow behaviour at 2 different inlet speeds of air and 4 different inlet speeds of liquid.
Submitted a report how the liquid behaviour changes when it comes in contact with air at different air inlet speeds.
Cooling of Two Electronic Chips sitting on a PCB board: May 2016– July 2016 Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, USA
Designed a PCB board and inserted 2 chips on the PCB board in 2D using Ansys workbench (fluent) with 1 inlet and 1 outlet.
For best results, generated an Inflation layer over the chips and the PCB board and evaluated the average temperature of each chip and PCB board for a x number of flow velocities.
Performed enough iteration before taking the average temperature values so that the needed temperatures remain constant.
Detroit needs more Power: August 2015– December 2015 Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, USA
Developed a power plant model using Rankin cycle with Reheat and coal as input.
Her development produced more power at low cost and she supplied it to Detroit people at minimum cost with the maximum plant efficiency with less cost input and greater profits with high customer satisfaction. Design and Manufacturing of Wind Energy Vehicle: December 2013 – May 2014 Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, INDIA
She has a hand on experience in designing and manufacturing a vehicle which works by electrical energy, produced by the turbine due to wind.
Developed the vehicle with stainless steel material by using cutting and welding processes and attached a turbine and battery to the vehicle and She tested the vehicle at different loads and calculated the power produced by the turbine at different inclinations which is stored in battery. Testing the Quality of Electro Hydraulic Servo Valve: May 2013 – July 2013 Research Centre Imarat, DRDO, Hyderabad, INDIA
Tested the Valves of Electro Hydraulic Servo valve for discharging the oil from input through output.
Tested the quality of valves with different lubricant oils at different pressures to get the effective output and direction of the servo valve while the oil is circulated inside the valves.
