Duties: Support the day-to-day human resource, payroll and benefits operations.
Installation and support of the VA’s new Time and Attendance(T&A) system VATAS(KRONOS). This included training all employees, timekeepers, supervisors and 2nd level timecard approvers.
Review and correct T&A records by identifying errors, and updating the T&A directly into the payroll system(DFAS).
Document and update employee payroll/human resource records in HRSMART, VATAS(KRONOS), and DFAS… including but not limited to: all deductions (including union); entitlement codes by job classification; tax status and withholding; direct deposit setup and changes; health benefits, STD (short term disability) and insurance; travel; COP and FMLA; worker’s compensation claims; COBRA programs; employee new hire, transfers, terminations, and retirements; garnishments.
