Sentry (Data Scientist) February 2017 - present

I have been working as a Data Scientist for a start-up named Sentry (http://smarthomesentry.com/).

Computer Vision - Image processing and Video analysis to identify person in a room and track their activities.

Machine Learning – To detect and count number of people in an image. SAP Labs India Private Limited, Bangalore, India (Associate Developer) August 2013 – July 2015

Product Lifecycle Management – Analyzed client requirements and worked closely with analysts and designers from SAP Germany, USA and China for Document Management Services to upgrade the software constantly.

Developed API’s along with front end and back end services using C++, ABAP, SQL, UI5, SAP HANA (organization specific tools and languages).

Applied and implemented different Machine Learning algorithms (Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Naïve Bayes, Decision Trees, Neural Network etc.) for classification on different datasets of UCI repository and for Sentiment Analysis of Twitter Data for US Elections 2016 for each candidate by extracting tweets using twitter APIs.

Implemented mini projects as a part of Artificial Intelligence course, like an AI that solves 15 puzzle problem using retrograde analysis, detecting ridge in an image and autonomous play for games like tetris and reverse tic-tac-toe.

Implemented POS tagger, topic classification, used mallet for topic modelling and extracting various insights within a topic using dates, frequency of words etc. as a part of Advanced NLP course.

Analyzed various Reinforcement Learning algorithm (Monte Carlo, Expected Sarsa, Dyna Q DynaQ+, Double Q learning tile coding etc.) to be used in Kuhn poker and mountain car task using python.

Lead a project in Computer Vision namely ‘Fall Detection’, to detect if the person in a room has suddenly fallen.

Created an application in Computer Vision to detect parked cars from a given satellite image of any parking lot. Used template-matching technique after implementing Sobel edge detector and non-maximal suppression.

Analyzed two different images to calculate the similarity between them. Extracted SIFT vectors out of the image and implemented the technique of RANSAC to filter out the correct SIFT matches. STUDENT ACTIVITIES & LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
