Director Logistics - Special Projects 2016 – March 2017

Served as Implementation Team Leader migrating Environmental Service (ES) Division onto 2 separate SAP platforms. Established roles and responsibilities, and worked with cross-functional groups to establish process documents and training. Managed collaborated testing environment, reviewed results and provided sign offs for each phase of projects.

Remained in Ohio ensuring service levels and contract agreements were met, supporting transition of Logistics Department to Houston, TX. Worked special projects until March of 2017.

Implemented successful companywide, multi- region phase approach role out, consisting of 4 regions over 3-month time-table with little to zero customer impact.

Projected $4-6M savings with implementation of SAP Transportation Management.

oTransportation Management System (TMS) allowed independence from 3PL management fees, in-house contract ownership, cost effective routing, increased private fleet utilization and better analytics.

Owned P&L (expenses and budgeting) and accountable for procurement, vendor 3PL contracts, customer relationships, contract negotiations, transportation personnel recruitment, training, and safety including DOT compliance. Served as leader for OTAC Reporting on time, accurate and consistent investigations, TMS Blue Print, and @Road Process Implementation.

Executed transportation projects that produced over $6M in savings (2015), by implementing across the organization. Included utilization and productivity analysis of Private Fleet (tankers and box trailers), Common Carriers, and Railcars. Worked with IT resources to develop equipment utilization reports and routing tool that compared private fleet costs to outside carrier, in maximizing route efficiencies and allowing for more cost-effective routing decisions.

Delivered cost savings on forklift, fleet, and equipment procurement, contracts and budgeting through execution of life cycle replacement initiatives.

Led operational activities for chemical distribution facility. Managed Inventory Control Coordinators, Warehouse Material Handlers and Drivers, directing 2 separate bargaining units with 70 employees.
