CFO for an emerging manufacturer of air purification products. In charge of all accounting, finance, cash flow management, financial planning and analysis, and human resources. Improved systems of internal control, reduced the time of each monthly closing and reduced the time for the year-end closing.

Mt. Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Mt. Vernon, NY – March 2014 to September 2014

CFO of a non-profit federally qualified healthcare center with 6 locations, 50 physicians, 325 employees and a $30 million annual budget. In charge of all accounting, finance, cash flow management, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle and materials management.

Accomplishments include:

Took over for a CFO who had incorrectly reported financial results to the Board of Directors;

Revamped the Revenue Cycle procedures and personnel which resulted (in the short-term) in a 16% improvement in days in Accounts Receivable and a 75% reduction in the claim denial ratio;

Developed a plan to return the organization to profitability and more effective management of its bill-payment activities, by refinancing and consolidating the short-term debt into a longer-term mortgage.

JCC of Mid-Westchester, Scarsdale, NY – April 2012 to January 2014

CFO – CFO of a Jewish Community Center with an $8 million budget. In charge of all accounting, finance, admin., HR and IT.

Accomplishments included:

Took charge of co-running the JCC one week after joining (for a period of 9 months), due to the termination of the Executive Director by the Board of Directors;

Developed a new Dashboard highlighting all important developments with the JCC, which was distributed to the Executive Board on a weekly basis;

In-charge of developing a new 3-year strategic plan;

Implemented a cost-cutting program which reduced annual expenses by $180,000.
