RECENT EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

AT&T – Pinnacle, Bedminster N.J Current

Systems Engineer – (Solution Architect & Project Management)

Systems Engineer position for ATT Global Business – Public Sector Solutions (Government Solutions) delivering Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Project Management, Systems Analysis to support Ordering, Provisioning, Billing & Finance to win and support a (50 Billion Dollar) Network Federal Contract.

Leading Global Teams in India & Brazil with Agile Practices while crossing multiple technologies.

Verizon Wireless, Warren N.J 2000 – 2014

Associate Director – Solution Architecture & Software Engineering

Established and directed architecture, development, project management governance practices that included project prioritization, risk assessment, IT compliance (I.E. PCI security & Sarbanes-Oxley), reporting roadmaps and costs for customer impacting projects. Reduced direct costs, obtained capital tax credits, and provided integrated information, simplified and improved systems. Utilized global cross-functional resources from project inception through full deployment, resulting in increased productivity and improved systems deployments and Data Security. Ensuring the success of product launch provisioning (I.E. IPhone, NFL, self serve & non self serve care, payments and billing) by actively tracking designs and testing results each day.

I led the entire Federal Mandated Local Number Portability (LNP) Architecture & Project Development effort from concept to implementation. My effort included quickly understanding requirements. I developed, coordinated and delivered the entire LNP enterprise system impact plan that included impacts and expectations for provisioning data on number transfers, number pool management, and communication and tools for a new Verizon Call Center for Transfer Issues escalations. In addition to overall Customer Care, Billing and Rating system impacts.

I introduced and implemented Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with a budget of over 500k, a new concept to Verizon Wireless and to lead Verizon Wireless to a “Cloud Service Based” WEB Services Environment. I engaged and directly engaged and managed vendors (I.E. Bearing Point & IBM) to assist in the initial phase to understand exactly what do our clients need by the use of Business Process Modeling to move them off of direct un-documented CICS calls to DB2 for Customer Inquiry and activation of devices.

To enable increase system performance, reduce time to market, create consistent innovative customer experiences, consolidate services and a simplified service environment; I created and directly facilitated the rollout of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Center of Excellence (COE) architecture and project management governance practices with a “Cloud Based Services” in mind. The COE involved multiple systems/ applications across the Business, Architecture, Development and Systems Planning organizations and led architecture and project management audits to ensure governance.

My Team Extracted / Transformed and Loaded (ETL) data to a “Big Data” platform based on services to first an Oracle then Cloud Based IBM Extreme Scale “Grid” Technology. With the utilization of loads and DB2 Triggers.

As a result, of my leadership system performance speed increased of up to 300%, time to market reductions of up to 50% per project, enhanced customer search processes that reduced research processing time down from 4 business days to less then 30 minutes on business customers and eliminated multiple independent tax and credit check engines to one.

Customer Inquiry and activation processes then utilized the Oracle & Grid Technology and Mainframe Dollars were reduced by 120 million per year along with an initial 2 million in tax credits.

In Parallel with the and prior to the “SOA / Cloud Service Management” effort; I directly lead successful business software enhancements for product and services launches with vendors, device activations to the network for LTE, Device Aps, Customer Care (WEB Services), CRM type of applications, Data Warehouse, Fraud, Collections, Billing and Payment interactions with banking institutions. Expanded Customer Self-Service functions with Internet Services and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) as a result a marked reduction in call center activity by 20%. In addition to reduced customer interaction time with call centers (15%) and point of sale store applications.
