2005- 2012
CMC Construction Services, Baton Rouge La. I started by doing outside sales working out of New Orleans. I was asked to start up a forming and shoring yard in Baton Rouge. I located warehouse and office space, developed the yard, and hired employees. Once the rental yard was fully staffed, I have now moved back into sales and rental. April 2012 CMC made the decision to move all of their forming and shoring rental operations to their Houston facility. I decided not to relocate to Houston.
2003-2005
I worked for Coastal Bridge and Paving. Baton Rouge La. I was the lead carpenter on a four-lane cantilever bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway. Work my way up to superintend.
Left to go to work with CMC.
2001-2003 Bell South, Thibodaux La.
I ran a new trenching and boring division to install DSL service. I stayed only a year because their Union protested my hiring. I got a better offer to work for D-C Construction who had the contract to build the concrete pads and small structures that housed the DSL hardware.
1997-2001
Campbell Construction of Baton Rouge, LA, Superintendent had the maintenance and improvement contract with Bell South (now AT&T) for all for their switching warehouse facilities in South La. I was their superintendent in the New Orleans Area. All work performed was coordinated through me and done by sub-contractors, including paving parking lots, moving emergency generators from basements to third or fourth floors. We rewired and reinstalled, with new fuel lines, new fuel storage; we cut out interior and exterior walls, installed louvers, fans, windows, doors, etc. to Bell South’s Specifications.
1994- 1997
Ceanic Inc. Offshore Diving Company, as Operations Manager building a deep-water vessel dock facility at Port Fourchon, La. I supervised the installation of 1200 linear feet of steel sheet pile, the construction of pads, parking lots, and living quarters. I secured potable water for vessels, purchased materials and supervised the use of equipment, including forklifts and cranes. I hired the personnel and developed schedules for a 24/7 operation. This company changed ownership two times and ended up being owned by Stolt Comex Seaway out of Germany, and an operations manager who was over two other docks in the U.S. replaced me.
1980 – 1994
P.P. & S. Raceland La. Family owned polystyrene plant manufactured polystyrene buoys used to float pipeline in place. Also manufactured a line of polystyrene 3-d deer targets.
