OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR - Visalia, CA Facility 1997 - Present
Position is responsible for overseeing production operations. The facility has sixty-three (63) non-union, direct labor employees. Position reports directly to the Plant Superintendent.
Management of 30-40 direct labor employees, including staffing schedules technical support, payroll responsibilities, corrective actions and Employee Training.

NATURAL TEAM LEAD (EXTRUSION) - Visalia, CA Facility 1987 - 1997
Under the direction of the Visalia Extrusion Sheet Department Supervisor, the position assists in responsibilities for the Extrusion Supervisor. This includes coordinating production schedules, employee work schedules, assurance that all extrusion employees are properly supervised, working in an efficient manner to obtain the desired quality and quantity of work assigned. The position also assists in safety issues such as adhering to Company policies on safety, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
Understand emergency procedures for the Oxidizer / RTO
Utilize Troubleshooting Guides to improve troubleshooting skills of the Foam Extrusion Process. Provide written input for the Troubleshooting Guide revisions.
Able to enter all production data in computer system, running extruders audit report, daily production summary, monthly production summary.
Ability to run correct rates of Reclaim and Post Consumer in accordance with ISO Specification Document, VIS-023, Formulation Requirements-PE Foam.
Energy Conservation Practices on all Extrusion equipment including shut down and start up procedures.
Demonstrate correct and efficient handling of resin unloaded from railcars to the extruder dryers and daybins.

MACHINE OPERATOR P.E. FOAM/PLANK – Visalia, CA Facility 1985 - 1987 Position assists Department Lead, with the ability to trouble shoot process problems, and to perform product set-up, input data audit paperwork and fill in for the Department Lead in his/her absence. Understand raw materials, their functions and applications. Understand extruder, accumulator functions, basic troubleshooting of product, ability to set up run recipes, adjust M1 rates and assist at the Coex as needed as well as operate extruder equipment.
Operate and demonstrate knowledge of blowing agent systems for Plank lines.
Knowledge of resin specs and their applications. Classroom training over different resins used in our extrusion process as well as a lab demonstration of the Plastometer, which is used to determine a resins melt index and how it is applied in the extrusion process.
Knowledge of Compressed Air system and back up system.
Understand and utilize M-Spec Documents and M.O.'s in order to conform to product requirements.
Comprehend and demonstrate the ability to perform Quality Inspections by utilizing ISO Work Instructions for Sheet and Plank Foam.
Operate and demonstrate knowledge of P-2 Accumulator and Ram controls. This includes emergency shut off procedures, temperature controls, hydraulic controls and Ram Speed Clocks.
