Academic Project

1)Project Name: “Persulfate assisted photocatalytic degradation of reactive dyes”

Aim :- Waste water Treatment

Introduction :-We have done research work on degradation of reactive dyes by using different catalyst in presence of UV light.Nowadays Reactive dyes are widely used in industry.so, it is very important to be treated before released into the environment.we tried to treat it under photocatalytic degradation for waste water treatment purpose. This is one of the effective advanced method of waste water treatment.

Role & Responsibility:- For this purpose we designed suitable reactor of UV light.our main aim to achieved more degradation by using persulfate.and also reaction with the another catalyst like tio2.For this purpose we performed ‘n’ number of experiment according to different parameter like Dye Concentration,Catalyst Loading,Effect of Ph.

Summary :-Photocatalytic degradation gave best result for degradation of dyes. Also it is concluded that persulfate which is good oxidizing agent is effective catalyst for waste water treatment purpose. We got best result for Basically 20ppm dye concentration by using 0.1M catalyst at 250rpm.This research work gave us idea about effect of different amount of catalyst loading, effect of changes of dye concentration.we have done analysis of dyes by using UV spectrophotometer which gives the decreasing value of dye concentrations.

My Work :- I have done all work by taking initiative to do project successful. All purchasing of equipment and chemicals perfectly and economically done by me.Also run for different parameter and their analysis was done by me regularly.Working on preparation for research paper Of photocatalytic degradation.
