Punjab Stainless Steel Industries lead in the invention, development and manufacture of the industry's most advanced Stainless Steel Cookware, Hollowware, Pressure Cooker, Restaurant ware, Kitchenware and all the Stainless Steel and Aluminum Items.

Project was to improve the quality of financial information and accounting which included evaluating recommendations from external audit firm and reviewing financial systems controls to make sure appropriate accounting information is maintained. The goal of the project was to come up with a New Financial Accounting Software.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst, my role was to understand the complete accounting requirements and deliver solutions within time, budget and resource constraint.

Worked with the business unit and the IT team and provided domain knowledge and support to develop an in-house user friendly software that was modeled to key the accounting applications and generate various management reports and exhibit dashboards

Converted high level business requirements into executable, detailed user stories to enable development

Worked with system users and system developers and provided solutions to the business requirements

The project was to develop a Financial Management Invoice Accounting Software for Book Keeping of Invoices, using tools like SAP & Oracle. This project aim was to record business transactions in a systematic manner for different operating units.

Responsibilities

Elicited business requirements from product owners with a purpose of creating and maintaining a product with in the budget.

Interacted with many business stakeholders from different departments to gather requirements by using various techniques like workshops and interviews; conducted JAD sessions.

Analyzed the root cause of the escalations and provided exact solutions to the data setup.

Prepared Functional Specification documents and shared the information with cross functional teams in IT as well as business.

Created AS-IS and TO-BE process flows, defined Use cases and handled change requests.

Interacted with the stakeholders to get a better understanding of client business processes and gather Business requirements.

Designed the business requirement collection approach based on the project scope and SDLC Methodology.
