02 years Work as a process plant operator(UREA PLANT) in “ENGRO FERTILIZER COMPANY LIMITED” on TOYO ACES TECHNOLOGY.

Now Working as a process operator on Utilities /(LABSA 96 PLANT) in “TUFAIL CHEMICALS” Tufail group of industry Karachi.

DETAIL OF DUTIES:-

POWER GENERATION:

0.5 MW electrical generator driven by diesel engine.

2500 HP & 04 stroke internal combustion engine with 09 combustion cylinders with 1500 rpm. Independent control board & PLC system.

CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS (Ammonium Carbamte etc):

The multi stage centrifugal pump made by EBARA.

Modern Instrumentation i.e. SLC System, Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring system.

Worked also at different types of centrifugal pumps (Impeller & Propeller) of NHt3, Urea & Ammonium Carbamate.

EBARA pump has 1045 hp motor 1483 rpm of motor and 6576 rpm of pump (induction gear box is used). 6.6 KV electrical power. 418 gpm capacity & 3300 psig shutoff pressure..

POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMPS (NH3)& AMONIUM CARBAMATE:

The motor driven multi stages Plunger type reciprocating pumps made by URACA. Worked also at motor driven Rotary (Gear) type reciprocating pumps at lube oils

Three URACA Pumps has 123 US gpm capacity 350 HP, 200 amps and 140 RPM of pump 1460 RPM of motor . And Two URACA Pumps has 156 US gpm capacity 422 HP, 290 amps and 180 RPM of pump and 1488 RPM of motor and 440 volts electric power motor is used.

POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT COMPRESSORS (CO2):

There are Piston type reciprocating compressors (03) made by COOPER BISSMER (USA) & PETER BROTHER HOOD (ENGLAND).

These are motors (Synchronies Type) driven.

Two Compressors PETER BROTHER HOOD (ENGLAND) Has 3500 hp of moter,50 HZ frequency, 11 KV electrical supply and 300 rpm of motor. Having 455 KSCFH capacity

One compressor COOPER BISSMER (USA) has 7500 hp of motor, 50 HZ frequency, 6.6 KV electrical supply and 273 rpm of motor. Having 900 KSCFH capacity.

UREA REACTOR & SULPHONATION REACTOR):

* I have work on urea (plug flow)type reactor .In which highly Exothermic reaction of ammonia and CO2 at 350*F temperature and 2450 psig pressure Reactor has 33 min residence of solution and better N/C conversion

* Also working on sulphonation reactor(plug flow) in which highly Exothermic reaction of liner alkyl benzene (LAB) and SO3 at 300 mbar pressure and 60*C Temperature achieve 90 percent better conversion. 3 min residence time. STRIPPING SECTION:

I have worked on NH3 stripping section. In this section NH3 is stripped out from the UREA solution & at the other section NH3 is stripped out from H2O.Steam is used for stripping purposes

SCRUBERS:

I have also worked on the Scrubber. Water & Ammonium Carbamate is used for scrubbing .And water and So3 Used for scrubbing..

SILO FILLING:

There are 4 silo vessels HOPO 1, HOPO 2, COPO 1, Regrind. HOPO1, HOPO2 are filled with fresh polymer ARE USED IN MAIN Extruder for extrusion. COPO 1 with Silica in CO-Extruder & regrind with process waste material.

DRYER & CRYSTALLIZATION UNIT:

In crystallization unit polymer crystallize at 173*C Temperature & in Dryer section dry out it with hot air 168*C temperature .

BOILER (FURNACE):

I have work on (fire tube boiler) HTM section in which process oil (thermo oil 66) is heated at 330*C. and 3 centrifugal pumps are installed downstream of boiler take oil for using process used.

Demineralization Unit

Ion exchange method made by AVANTech Incorporated. equipped with PLC including:

Cation Exchanger

Anion Exchanger

Forced Draft Aerator

Demine water storage & distribution system

Regeneration through PLC & Manually

Double Pass Reverse Osmosis System(RO):

Double Pass Reverse Osmosis System is equipped with PLC including: is Made by AVANTech Incorporated.

Pretreatment system Include,Depth Filtration Subsystem,Bag filter system, and Cartridge filter system

Caustic Injection and Clean-In-Place system for RO maintenance.

Cooling Tower

* 02 induced draft counter flow cells

* 02 centrifugal horizontal pumps having capacity 1000m3/hr.

Buck man Chemical dosing facility.

Sulfuric Acid Hypo chlorite and H2SO4 dosing.

Process Air Compressor:

I have work on process air compressor (positive displacement lobed compressor) which are used to provide air to use in process to control SO3 concentration before going to sulphonation Reactor Operating pressure 0.5 bar and 70*C temperature.

Instrument Air Compressor & Dryer:

I also work on instrument air compressor which are used to operate the phenomatic transmitters on plant .having 6.5 bar presser and 35 *C Temperature and dryer are also attach with the downstream of compressor to remove moister of air.

CHILLER:

Chiller are also installed to cool down the temperature of process air by glycol pass through refrigeration exchanger .Chlorofluoromethane (CH2CLF) gas used in chiller as refrigerant..

Work Permit Handed over/Taking over.

Safely handed over of Equipment’s/vessels to other interfaces & safely put back in service after job completion.

Safely start up and shutdown of plant in normal & emergency operation.

Emergency handling in very safe manners.

Reporting & Rectification of abnormal condition immediately.
