CHASSIX INC., Stevensville, MI

Tooling Engineer/Manager - 2013-2015

Reported to the plant manager, responsible for overseeing the working of the tool room and foreman. Involved with trouble-shooting problems with molds on the production floor. Responsible for all new incoming tooling launches through the PPAP Stage and into production launch, and for ordering components for molds and trim dies.

Reduced mold change time from 3 hours to 1 hour.

Reduced cost of mold components by utilizing other sources, saving Chassix 2 to 3 times my annual salary.

(Lay off due to reorganization)

Mold Maker – 2012-2013

Lead the construction of new molds, performed engineering changes, repaired and made components for very intricate tight-tolerance molds.

(I left for a position closer to home with more opportunity.)

Low Volume/Prototype Mill Department Second Shift Supervisor – 2011-2012

Responsible for scheduling personnel, prioritizing and scheduling work load, and nightly communication report to the incoming shift supervisor.

(Lay off due to reorganization. Company did away with 2nd shift management.)

Designed and developed racing and hi-performance engines in the offshore marine industry.

(I had to close due to lack of work and adequate funding.)

(Lay off because of Delphi’s bankruptcy.)
