MADD – Systems and Network Administrator 7/2012 – 07/2017

Key part of a small IT team, and I have many job functions:

Maintain and Deploy systems: Windows server hosts over 50 Windows Server Virtual Machines (2012-2016) and over 600 Windows 7 workstations. Experience using Dell Kace to deploy and maintain Dell Windows 7 computers, Manage Engine’s Desktop Central, Group Policy, and Systems Center 2012 for controlling updates and deploying software to employee computers. Took Microsoft boot camp for Windows 10 upgrade and how that works within the SCCM and Intune platforms.

Cloud Systems: Office365 migration for 500 Gb of on premise storage to SharePoint Online to create company Intranet, Configured over 150 Site Collections in SharePoint for Departmental and Field Offices, Migrated on premise Exchange Servers to Exchange Online, Configured rights flow from Windows on premise Active Directory groups to Office365. Migrated all person work documents for all users to OneDrive for Business, Moved company video conferencing from GotoWebinar to Skype for Business saving several thousand dollars per year. Created documentation for employees and trained over 80 Remote offices and 10 National Office Departments for SharePoint and other Office365 programs. Basic knowledge of working with Salesforce to perform users set ups and backups. Created Salesforce Customer Community for collaboration space for MADD Volunteers and Employees.

Networking: Maintain and Patch all equipment including Fortinet 100D Next Gen firewalls, Fortinet 40C and 60D remote office firewalls for VPN connection, Office Wi-Fi connections, Exinda traffic prioritization and HP ProCurve Switches.

Servers: Build and Maintain 3 Hyper V failover clusters, 40 Virtual Machines, Dell EqualLogic SAN groups for multi-tiered storage, Microsoft Dynamics SL, System Center 2012 used for basic tasks and deployment.

Backup: Required to maintain backups for 7 years for all MADD employees. For on premise backups were taken using Symantec Backup Exec, Veeam and Acronis. Cloud Systems backed up with Cloud Ally and MetaVis. All systems backed up Daily and Monthly and kept off site for disaster recovery.

VOIP Phones: Configure and shipped over 300 phones when moving to a National phone system for considerable cost savings. System also includes IM interface and voicemail system.

Copiers/ Printers: Manage a National Contract for Printers/ Copiers and supplies this greatly simplifies support, billing and also allows for accounting for costs billed to each department.

Training and Documentation: As a subject matter expert I am tasked with documenting all processes so that other on my team can reproduce my results without having to re-learn technology systems. I also create documentation for internal users on all systems, create videos and give group trainings as needed.
