Personal Profile Statement / Career Objective

My name is Hala Bahig. I’ve always loved teaching. After receiving my bachelor degree in French Literature, and after having spent several years searching for what I wanted really to do, it became clear that I wanted to communicate my knowledge and to share it with others. Teaching is a passion for me because it’s transmitting something new to someone, and helping them. I’m convinced that learning a foreign language is essential and can guide a person’s life history and create that. While teaching is a rewarding job it is also very demanding so it was important to me understanding what’s involved and becoming a qualified teacher, accordingly and before I enter this valuable profession, I earned tow Diplomas in education from (IUFM) in Paris, specialized in teaching FLE or MFL (French as a foreign language).

Combined with a strong academic background a keen attention to detail and a structured and efficient way to approach language skills, I gained six years of teaching experience with different age ranges. When I create a class, I always try to increase the students’ motivation as well as the students’ engagement. I always build confidence in learner so they can take risks and reinforce the idea to have control over, and responsibility for their own learning goals.

There's a lot I love about being a teacher. Teaching is one of those rare professions that keep your brain young, allowing you to continue your own journey as a student and a lifelong learner. Becoming a lifelong learner opens the door to “life-changing”, “rewarding”, “fulfilling” growth.

My greatest strengths are that I’m highly skilled in creating an engaging environment for students; I’m warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring. I’m also organized person, able to efficiently allocate my time, energy and resources in order to achieve my goal. Ultimately, I believe that my academic background and my experience make me a valuable teacher who has the skills and qualities needed to contribute significantly to the overall success of her school.
