To Whom It May Concern:
I found your job listing for a Family Nurse Practitioner through an e-mail. I was quickly drawn to this posting, as it would highlight my existing skills and provide me an opportunity to focus on my passion to provide exceptional patient service and care.
I graduated May 8, 2014 from the State University of New York Institute of Technology as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree. I started my nursing career eight years ago at Nathan Littauer Hospital on the Med-Surgical floor. My main responsibility in that position was to provide world-class care to my assigned patients. Through effective communication, professionalism, and customer empathy, I aided each patient when possible to attain better health. I effectively answered their questions, helped them with issues they were having, and provided solutions whenever possible to their medical needs. I had a great deal of success and gained a lot of experience from this role.
While at SUNY, I was able to expand my knowledge base through reading, discussions with other providers, and clinical rotations. My clinical rotation consisted of 800 hours spent between family practice, pediatrics, and women’s health with the majority spent in family practice. With the 800 hours spent in clinical and the 8,320 hours as a registered nurse, and 3,200 as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have spent approximately15, 960 hours providing health care.
I am licensed in the states of Florida and New York, and received my national certification through ANCC. I have spent almost two years working full-time in a primary care office, private practice, as a family nurse practitioner. In addition to providing primary care, I also provided chronic care, acute care, and urgent care. Since December 13, 2016, I have been providing women's health care at the Florida Women's Reception Center in Lowell, Florida.
I welcome the opportunity to speak with you about this position so I can elaborate on how my expertise in maintaining high patient service standards in a fast-paced environment can further strengthen your practice. On a personal note, I live by the motto, “When you’re on time, you’re late, and when you’re early, you’re on time.”
Sincerely,
Julie A. Dillenbeck-Juers, MS, APRN, FNP-BC
