I am employed as a Clinical Technician.
My duties include: obtaining patient information, collecting blood and urine samples on both children and adults, verifying insurance, filling out requisition forms, coding, performing and monitoring drug screens, ordering supplies, conducting short interviews pertaining to patients background, and preparing samples for shipment. I also have some knowledge of toxicology. I have experience with most medical office software programs. I prevented a costly client/provider severance by:

During my employment, I had an array of duties that included:
Registering patients, answering a multi-line telephone system, returning messages, being a liaison between doctors and patients, collecting both nurse and patient specimen drop-offs, placing patients in rooms, collecting payments if required, pediatric/ geriatric blood draws, collecting and processing blood, urine, and other specimens. I maintained stock, filed, kept lab area clean, and assisted co-workers with difficult draws. 30-35 blood draws daily.
