Responsibilities

•Maintain a safe working environment and manage HSE issues at worksite.

•Play a role in promoting HSE at the workplace to ensure continuous improvement.

•Play a role in achieving and implementing the Integrated Management System.

•Lead team on daily, weekly inspection and loss prevention inspection and checking site condition.

•Monitor the action points at the project site and provide necessary advice to Engineers, Foremen and Workers during the site inspection.

•Carry out Health & Hygiene (H&H) Inspection.

•Oversee the monitoring of air quality, noise, temperature or radiation to verify compliance with health, safety and environment regulations.

•Advising on Environmental restoration and management of Hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

•Participate in the weekly/monthly HSE Meeting and participate in the Client’/Consultant’s (main contractor’s) HSE Meetings.

•Participate in the daily/weekly site Tool Box Meeting/pre-work briefing conducted by immediate supervisor (supervisor/foreman/charge-hand).

•Responsible for the administration, auditing and evaluation and approved HSE Management Plan.

•Lead/assist for the Accident/Incident Investigation and Near Miss Reporting.

•Conduct Emergency Response Drill (Fire/Gas, Heat Stress, etc.) and carry out fire prevention programmed.

•Design, organize, assess performance, study the results and propose solutions of emergency exercises.

•Prepare for emergency exercises and carry out evacuation trainings.

•Ensure that appropriate fire precaution and evacuation procedures are implemented across the project sites (by the company or third party companies).

•Conduct weekly, monthly and emergency meeting with site based employees.

•Review records of tool box talk, health and risk assessments conducted by site Supervisor/Foreman.

•Participate in the appropriate implementation and installation of the safety devices and equipment at all locations, in co-ordination with the HSE Engineer.

•Advise the relevant cautionary instructions, signs and symbols to be displayed in the prominent places.

•Impart health and hygiene courses to the catering employees regarding food handling, storage, preparation, housekeeping, cleanliness procedures, etc.

•Inspect Permit to Work System and advising on procedures for job activities.

•Monitor lifting activities and advise on non-conformances.

•Prepare for internal and client audit and keep records.

•Carry out daily inspection of Breathing Apparatus sets in Training Rooms and update records.
