Having 35 years of experience in the field of Civil Structural Engineering for various types of projects which include Hydrocarbons, Metallurgy, Fertilizers & Process Plants, Ordinance Factories, Industrial sheds, Multi-storey Buildings, Commercial buildings, Hotels, Townships etc.

(I)Oct., 2014 - March, 2017

GM (Civil & Structural) & HOD, Simon India Ltd.

Supervised the Projects of 200TPD Caustic Soda Project for M/s KLJ at Qatar, SAP-C HRS Retrofit for M/s PPL at Paradip and Waste Heat Recovery Project for M/s Dalmia Cements at Orissa.

Job responsibility included the following –

Identifying the training needs of an employee

Setting up Quality Control Procedures for the department and maintaining them.

Completed 200TPD KPR Caustic Soda Plant at Andhra Pradesh, India successfully as a Lead Engineer. Work involved civil works and structural design of process buildings, tank farms, foundations, super structure, slab on grade, site development works related to chemical plants, preparation of civil tender -BOQ -specifications-tender drawings.

The work has been executed by engaging sub consultants for detailed engineering. The design and drawings prepared by the consultants has been reviewed for structural integrity, cost optimization and constructability. Work also involved review of soil investigation reports and releasing of Good for Construction drawings to site and periodic site visits.

Other Major assignments completed as Lead Civil / Structural Engineer:

Utkal Aluminium Refinery Project for Aditya Birla Group at Orissa, India involving 1.0 lac cum of concrete and 50,000MT of structural steel.

Coromandel Fertilizer project for Coromandel International Limited at Kakinada on EPC basis.

Designated lead engineer for Project of cost more than 200 crores or manhours >1,00,000

Navi Mumbai SEZ Pvt. Ltd. had envisaged of developing a world class infrastructure in the Dronagiri area of Navi Mumbai. The work involved design, review and project management of various types of buildings, industrial sheds,roads, bridges, logistic centre, structures related to water and sewerage treatment facilities, power and ground improvements etc. which will be part of world class city.

I was leading a team of 20 Engineers and draftsman of Engineering design department for SEZ project at Navi Mumbai.

The job broadly pertained to:

Detailed design and drawing of different type of structures viz., Equipment foundations for Pumps, Exchangers, Vessels, Heaters, Reactors, Compressors, I.D / F.D Fans etc., Technological structures, Pipe Racks, Guided Column Structures, Flare Stack Supporting Structures, Compressor Sheds, Pump Houses, Sphere foundations, Plant Buildings, Non Plant Buildings, Gate House, Watch Towers, Control Room Buildings, Sub Station Buildings, Flare Trestles, Pipe Bridges, Quench Water Tanks, Underground Reservoirs etc.

Preparation of structural inputs for LSTK Projects (FEED), Cooling Towers, Wastewater treatment plants, D.M. Water plants etc.
