Civil and Underground Inspector at AEROTEK / Burns & McDonnell Chino Hill Underground (CHUG) Segment is continuous subsurface portion of TRTP 500KV Double circuit transmission line. Senior Civil Inspector at Cordoba Corporation / Burns & McDonnell Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project – (TRTP) inspecting concrete foundations and reinforcement for lattice towers, steel pole and Micropile caps. Inspections of roads, gabion & Hilfiker walls, McCarthy Drains and RGCP storm pipe. As owners agent for Edison Electric make sure subcontractors meet plan and specifications.

City of Gilbert, AZ Capital Improvement Project – Project Superintendent for Subterranean Construction Corp. included new water main installation street improvement, storm water replacement. Forced mains 6", 8", 10” and 12" Ductile iron, HDPE, PVC. Project also included fire hydrants, road improvements with new sidewalks and crossings.

City of Durango, CO Water main extensions - Project Superintendent including 4 miles of 24” Forced water main, pressure reducing station and booster station which included Hydrants, services businesses, street improvement, cathodic protection, 6"to 24" ductile iron, PVC and HDPE pipe. Worked closely with crews and Subcontractor to insure compliance with plans and specifications and accepted construction methods, solved conflicts in the field, communicated effectively with the public and inspectors. Tracked and completed work schedules, as builts, quantities, subcontractor payments, implemented design changes.

DART Orange Line Lite Rail Project Dallas, TX - Superintendent over new Storm Drain mains and extensions including catch basins, manholes (RCP) Reinforced Concrete Pipe and HDPE from 12" to 48”. Coordinate with local and state engineers, inspectors and managers. Coordinate traffic controls, subcontractors and crews. Manage change orders, RFIs and field design changes.

Yellowstone Club Infrastructure Big Sky, MT – Project Superintendent includes management of crews, Subcontractors, vendors. Coordinate with engineers, designers and local officials for changes, inspections. Project includes installation for 6” to 12” forced water mainlines (DIP and PVC) Pressure reducing stations, booster pumps, well sites and storage tanks. Mainline sewer includes lift stations, manholes, grinder pump stations and 4” to 24” PVC forced main pipe. Roads were rebuilt due to trenching operations.

Experience includes managing large mainline pipe projects, sewer rehabilitation, mechanical piping in pump stations and a variety of other commercial and private construction projects. More than adequate experience to fill the position of Public Works Inspector.

Includes clearing and grubbing, and subgrade excavation and embankment with attention to design elevations and structural requirements including compaction and testing. Installation and finishing of roads including curbs and gutters, catch basins, subgrade geotextile, rock sections, asphalt and concrete wearing surfaces. Trench excavation and pipe installation skills include extensive knowledge. Expert in the installation and appropriate use of trench box, hydraulic and pneumatic speed shoring, whaler type, slide rail, sloping and benching, and engineered shoring solutions. Ability to assemble, install, alter, or repair storm and sanitary sewer systems, water mains, and underground utilities per local and state standards and specifications. Practical knowledge of installation practices of a diverse range of pipe materials including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), High density polyethylene (HDPE), corrugated steel (RGCP), cast iron, ductile iron, clay, asbestos. Implementation and maintenance of sewer bypass systems and pumps. Install and refurbish man holes, vaults, fire hydrants, water meters, valves, clean outs, and related structures. Hands on experience with trenchless pipe installation including micro tunneling, pneumatic and hydraulic boring, jacking and pipe bursting. Installation of force mains and retrofitting of pump stations. Ability to read and interpret plans and survey staking. Working knowledge of grades, slopes, and calculations to the installation of gravity storm and sewer systems. Effectively use pipe lasers, line levels, grade rods, and other surveying tools to ensure proper alignment and elevations of pipes. Perform proper testing and quality control such as hydraulic air testing, mandrel testing, and vacuum testing, chloride testing.

Environmental remediation skills include installation of vegetated storm water facilities, soil wrapped walls, stream restoration, and surface water management facilities. Skilled in the installation of sediment and sump manholes as well as junction boxes and grease traps/water separators. Trained in the recognition of environmental hazards and proper disposal techniques for contaminated soils.
