In more than seven years at Verizon, I have been involved in providing system solutions for many significant business initiatives impacting Strategic Sourcing organization that has enabled the organization to meet strategic business objectives.
My responsibilities have included providing high level estimates for new business cases, participating in design meetings, developing programs using Agile methodology, testing solutions, assisting End Users during User Acceptance Testing, coordinating deployments in production, providing post-implementation support while working with IT team members at both onshore and offshore locations.
Additionally, I have managed all the JIRA tickets for SAP v-Source and provided metrics for DevOps. Worked on AWS and innovation projects including migrating SAP v-Source to AWS and implementing RPA for manual repetitive tasks.
In my role as the Lead for Supply Chain Visibility (SCV), streamlined the process so spend data is now processed at the beginning of each month instead of middle of the month. This process change has helped in timely processing, resulting in data-driven decisions for the Strategic Sourcing organization.
Supported production conversion loads and handled fallouts. Utilized Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW Tool) for uploading of data into the system. Worked with both onshore and offshore team members for day-to-day support, performance tuning, scripts development and programs.
Worked on Customer Service Request (CSR) initiative for providing TAX ID numbers for the Suppliers to achieve transparency through various Verizon enterprise applications such as vSAP, nSAP, PeopleSoft (Account Payables).
Conducted Requirements Gathering Sessions (RGS) to review and document requirements and worked with business sponsors to resolve any requirements clarifications issues. Coordinated design walkthroughs with both onshore and offshore team members IT staff and End Users.
In collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing organization, as a team member worked on Contract Compliance and Spend Analytic initiative to identify opportunities for corporate savings and reduction in maverick spend. My assignment included system design, development of technical specifications, perform testing for data extracts from SAP v-Source (considered as Golden Source) application. The team later developed dashboards with advanced data visualization capabilities using Tableau. The KPIs & metrics improved spend visibility, enabled better planning and resulted in reduced corporate spend.
