Personal Statement

I am a recent graduate of Events Management at Liverpool John Moore's university looking to secure a position as an EAL Teacher. I am a very ambitious and resilient team player who is used to overcoming adversity in order to succeed. I am therefore keen to work within a fast paced environment where I will develop the skills and knowledge I have obtained whilst studying at university. My ultimate career objective is to become a certified primary teacher. However, since graduating from university, I have been proactive in gaining quality work experiences in many industries including the media industry. I have two years teaching experience and have most recently been working as a TEFL teacher in Chengdu in the Sichuan province, China. I believe this demonstrates my drive and willingness to relocate in order to improve myself and I have no doubt that the experiences of living and working abroad will facilitate me for further professional and personal growth in the future. To conclude, I would like to reiterate that I am an extremely motivated individual who works tirelessly so that I can realise my career potential.

INTERESTS

In my spare time I enjoy pursuing my passion of music where I perform both

as a singer and a lead guitarist, performing original material regularly in various venues across Liverpool and the north west of England. I am also a keen sportsman playing five a side football and going to the gym. I like to relax by going fishing both at course fisheries and when able to, sea fishing. I believe that the diversity of my interests outside of work further demonstrates my character and adaptability which would make me suitable for this position.
