Managed, administrated and supported over 30 IT projects for 5 offices, 2 data centers and 100+ users.

Designed, implemented, maintained and supported the data network and telephone system. Upgraded network from ISDN lines to an MPLS network to increase productivity of employees and secure the company intranet to meet HIPAA standards. Upgraded PBX telephone system to VOIP.

Created a virtual office for remote access by physicians to increase the efficiency of closing charts on time to avoid government fines of up to $360,000.

Managed installation and configuration of HL7 interfaces to the EHR for patient portal, immunization reporting, patient check in process of filling out forms and Labcorp for electronic test submission and results.

Provided customer service support for all users, performed root cause analysis of all IT issues and managed problem escalation with third party vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Founding member of engineering team to pioneer the first prototype of the blade server. The blade server was a stripped-down computer server that included all of the necessary components to operate as a computer while taking up 20% of the space and consuming only 20% of the power of a traditional 1U server.

Performed planning and budgeting of projects and resources. $1.5M budget for 8 internal employees and 2 outsourced test partners, which consisted of an additional 30 employees.

Made largest sale in the company of $250K to Key Labs as a sales engineer.

Project manager for building the hardware/software/test labs, corporate network, and user equipment. Budget was $1M.

Managed technical side of manufacturing and verification automation of products with Pemstar to streamline product defects to less than 4%.

Created a purchasing department and process for supply chain demand. Established and managed relationships with vendors. Worked with accounting department on all vendor contracts for products and services.

Project Coordinator/Team Leader - Nortel Networks - GSM Wireless Division, Richardson, TX. 1994 - 2000

Designed/implemented a V.35 to TCP/IP protocol translator in C on a SPARC workstation that enabled virtual to physical translation. Saved the company $26M on hardware costs over 2 years. Reduced the development time and cycle testing of each release. Software sold to other internal business units to generate revenue for the Automation Test Group. Produced over $500K of revenue that group used for additional resources. *Received an award for design excellence and innovation.

Collaborated with another department prime to design, implement and support the network for GPRS and UMTS design and test labs. This included planning and budgeting for hardware and software resources. Project budget was $2M.

Provided technical product support for the U.S. trial sites and satellite labs including verification office, interoperability and automation labs. Received 5 awards for innovation and dedication

Designed the test strategy for GPRS01 robustness testing and created automated test cases in C/C++.

Designed the test strategy for Sponsored Call/Cell, Virtual Private Network and Prepaid Services features in GSM08 and Prepaid and Homezone Services in GSM09. Created automated test cases for all features in C/C++.

Created web pages for each feature in html for the company intranet.

Nortel Networks continued…

Developed test heads and protocol converters for the GSM mobile switching centers automation test platform and virtual captive office in Unix C/C++. Protocol codecs included SS7, PTS, MTP and SCCP (ANSI and CCITT variants).

Maintained and improved the ISO procedures and passed 3 audits.
