Internships:

●Carried out the summer training as a part of Internship in a government organization named BHEL, in internship I learned about tendering activities, working and construction of sewage treatment plant which was located in BHEL

Project details:

●My final year dissertation, that has been in the process, is on the Performance of concrete structures when a part of fine aggregates, which are depleting day by day due to over exploitation, are surrogated by glass powder which is the end product of glass manufacturing industries. It also involves partial replacement of cement by TiO2, which acts as both photo catalyst as well as pollution reduction agent

Industrial exposure:

●Visited ‘Survey of India’, situated at uppal in Hyderabad, and gained information about different types of surveying, GPS and GIS systems and government authorized planning of cities

●Taken to ‘Pranavantilia’, at bachupally, where we witnessed clearly of the work of an engineer from the start of laying foundation to the end of construction of building including practical considerations of the building

●Visited Indian institute of technology in Hyderabad and observed mainly the construction of steel structure and different types of works that are carried out at the same point of time

Seminars/conferences:

●Participated in National conference on disaster preparedness mitigation and reconstruction of sustainable society held at our college

●Attended department conducted seminar on Krishna river basin and its tributaries

●Took part in an international summit on emerging trends of civil engineering organized by VNRVJIET

Achievements:

●Won third prize in an event called “MONOLITH” held in collaboration with NIT TRICHY
