DNB is one of the leading credit bureaus in the world. The credit enquiry requests from DNB customers were handled as Customer Project account which included both regular and adhoc requests. Implemented the Data Architecture project that aimed to move the existing applications from VSAM file data architecture to DB2 data architecture. Developed various components in the program module that allows the Insurance application to access data from the VSAM files while at the same time enabling DB2 access in a consistent manner in both a batch and CICS environment. The corresponding VSAM data services module for each application program was identified and made to access the VSAM or DB2 using Data Access Control Switch (DACS). The switch can be set to make the call VSAM, DB2 or both.

Enhancement of the JCLs, COBOL batch programs, CICS COBOL Online program and SAS programs as per the new requirement.

Convert the existing Non-DB2 programs into DB2 programs to access the data from VSAM or from DB2 based on the switch parameter.
