My business background consists of over 20 years Data Processing experience from operations
to systems analysis and design, 10 plus years of experience in various Human Resources and
Payroll functions, Real Estate Sales, Customer Service, and Business Management Consulting.
Also, during this time I completed my degree program at Villanova University and earned the
Professional Human Resources (PHR) designation from the Society for Human Resource
Management. I am now pursuing a position that is suitable to my experience and background.
As a Staff Executive/Consultant with the George S. May International Company I was responsible
for providing management consulting services to the owners of small to medium size businesses
in the Eastern United States and Canada. Once the business problems were identified I was
responsible for developing solutions to correct the problems, an implementation schedule for
the project, training of the owners and staff in the use of new policies and procedures
implemented, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project. Areas most often
addressed to solve and control the problems identified were: Profit and Expense Control,
Organizational Management Controls, Inventory Controls, and Sales Planning. I have provided
these services to all types of businesses, including construction, restaurant, retail, manufacturing,
and trucking industries.
At WHYY, Inc. - TV12/91FM my position as an HRIS Specialist was in the Human Resources
Department. Initial objectives were to fully implement the use of the ABRA HR system so
that employee tracking and reports could be completed in a timely and accurate manner.
In order to achieve this goal a complete data audit of all employee data was completed.
Implemented coding structures that reflected the organizations needs and setup procedures
to adhere to these structures. Reconciled ABRA-Human Resources data to ADP-Payroll data in
order to track sick and vacation time on employee paychecks. This eliminated manual tracking
processes that were being used. Project Manager for the conversion of ABRA HR data to
ADP HR Perspective with a direct link to the ADP Payroll system. Coordinated recruiting efforts,
records management, and provided support for other HR functions and services as needed.
At The Vanguard Group my position was in the Individual Client Services Department. Duties
entailed responding to shareowner incoming telephone calls concerning their investments in
Vanguard mutual funds. Performed transaction processing per shareowners instructions through
PC Window and Mainframe computer applications. Provided instructions for the transfer /
establishment of non-IRA and IRA accounts. Effectively communicated with shareholder and
other departments steps required to correct any discrepancies with the shareholder's accounts.
Strong verbal, listening, interpersonal and writing skills required to effectively handle
shareowner requests.
As an employee of Temps America I was assigned to The Vanguard Group where I performed
various duties in the Fund Financial Services Department. Some of these duties were report
distribution, data entry of fund pricing lists on a daily basis, backup to the PC LAN
Administrator on a limited basis, and maintained the Proxy Voting System. (Proxy Edge

plans. Also, I was responsible for maintaining hourly, non-exempt, and exempt job reference
