WORK EXPERIENCES

Clarkson University Potsdam, NY

Research Assistant Jan 2014-Present

Conducted fundamental and applied research on particle resuspension in turbulent flow, in collaboration with Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC).

Developed a multi-functional GUI software for data analysis of the research problem using MATLAB.

Collected literature data, and conducted an extensive data analysis to characterize research problem.

Designed a wind tunnel to study particle resuspension (below 5 micron particles), and performed design validation using CFD analysis.

Developed a new theoretical model to predict real-world particle resuspension conditions.

Investigated high pressure jet flow using CFD, and modeled particle removal from impingement surface.

Communicated research progress to program coordinators in DTRA and ECBC based on proposal tasks, on scope, on time.

Presented research achievements in scientific conferences as well as published in scientific journal and book chapter.

AKHGAR Steel Foundry Industries Esfahan, Iran

Head of Simulation and Engineering Design Apr 2010-Jul 2013

AKHAR is a private foundry company in field of manufacturing alloy steel and cast-iron products.

Led several projects of design and optimization of casting systems for manufacturing new products.

Designed casting systems including mold, riser and runner using 3D CAD tools.

Conducted simulation of molten metal flow, solidification and thermal analysis using CFD simulation.

Optimized the designs to prevent casting defects by analyzing the simulation results.

Increased production rate, and reduced prime cost by 30%.
