Managed delivery and installation schedule in a production environment with a very tight delivery schedule.

Documented the configuration of kiosks and servers from the box to the installation on a ship by ship basis.

Tools were developed to remotely and automatically manage the on-board systems over the satellite communications link.

2012 to 2013 Satellite Bandwidth Calculations

Using Historic data for fleets of ships, projected required satellite bandwidth use worldwide for multiple fleets of cruise ships. Identified bandwidth needs, which satellite, total transmit and receive utilization, and terrestrial backhaul needs.

2012 to 2013 Greenland – Summit Camp Satellite Transition

Moved Summit Camp (Greenland) satellite communications from a TDMA Ku band system to an SCPC C Band system.

New system provided better performance and higher bandwidth at a lower cost to the customer.

Selected equipment, sent equipment to site, and worked with onsite engineers to make the equipment change.

Wrote configuration, installation, and troubleshooting steps in detail enough to allow on site scientists to perform the update.

2001 to 2012 - Chief Software Engineer - Ocean Net - Unmanned Remote Data Collection and RC3M – CMMI III

Provided tier 3 troubleshooting for the entire system once operational as part of an on-call rotation for almost a decade.

This included all hardware, software, data paths, satellite or terrestrial networked communications paths, and NOC issues.

DOORS tool was initially used to develop requirements documentation, provide traceability, and help with RVTM production.

2000 to 2013 – Chief Software Engineer / Systems Engineer - Classified Systems Development

Interfaced with customers, collected requirements, authored requirements specifications.

Divided requirements into Configuration Items. Lead and took part in the development of these systems.

Cubic Corporation - Defense Applications Jan 1990 - April 1997

Orlando, Fl. (7 years 4 months)

1995 - 1997 - Lead Simulation Analyst on the C17A Concurrency Program

This is a Lead Systems and Software Engineering position rolled into one as were all Cubic positions.

Became the in house subject matter expert (SME) on all systems and operations of the C17A aircraft.

Provided requirements management, and system and software change management for all systems of the C17A trainers.

Lead data collection trips to McDonnel Douglas and Air Force facilities looking at the C17 as a complete system.

My team collected over 800 changes and presented those changes to an Air Force sponsored Change Control Board.

Meetings were held quarterly for more than two years.

1992 - 1995 - Simulation Analyst on the C17A Flight Controls Systems Trainer

Using Air Force Technical Orders and systems schematics, determine what systems needed to be implemented.

Document findings and then design the software make the built system operate as the aircraft would.

Implemented both normal and multiple malfunctioned conditions.

Made the FCST training look and behave just like the actual aircraft with sufficient detail to provide training scenarios.

Wrote a command and control code that was used for all actuators, hydraulic, electrical, linear, and rotary.

Actuator package also simulated actuators not physically present in the system to provide needed feedback.

1990 -1992 - Simulation Analyst, BFVS M2A3 (Bradley Fighting Vehicle System) and M1A2 panel and 3D trainers

Systems information was limited to US Army schematics and systems and sub system operations manuals.

We were given specific training scenarios needed by the Army to train maintenance personnel.

Designed systems and wrote software to implement the required training scenarios.

Finished trainers looked and behaved like the actual vehicle with sufficient details to provide the stated training scenarios.

Stipulated the type of IO, readings, and ranges needed for each light, actuator, stepper, bell, or buzzer, moved or activated.

Detailed student action records were maintained.

Other Information and Technologies Used
