1. Search Engine: Implemented an efficient search engine in Java for retrieving web pages. Designed and optimized the following:

• Web Crawler: Distributed, Mercator style web crawler hosted on AWS EC2 instances.

• Distributed Indexer: Generated Inverted Index and calculated TF-IDF values.

• PageRank: Calculated page rank values for each web page using Elastic MapReduce.

• Search: Integrated results and implemented features like auto-correction and words-highlights. Won “Google Award 2017- Best Search Engine” among 22 teams for the project. 2. Hadoop MapReduce framework: Designed a MapReduce framework similar to Hadoop in Java. Master accepted jobs, including Mapper and Reducer class information and assigned jobs to the workers, who updated the master about the status at regular intervals. 3. HTTP Web Server: Developed a multithreaded HTTP web and application server (similar to Tomcat) in Java which retrieves static (images, HTML pages, gifs, text, pdf) and dynamic (Java Servlets) content.

4. Distributed Chat System: Designed a reliable & multi-threaded UDP-based real-time distributed chat system in Linux using C and socket programming for features like fair queuing and message priority. 5. Twitter Sentiment Analyzer: Developed a sentiment analyzer for tweets using various machine learning algorithms to classify raw tweets and images giving an accuracy of 80.53% on test set.
