Enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1982-1987.

Lead Systems Engineer for ALION Science and Technology: Oversee the capability planning, coordination, testing and development for DCGS. Support teams of technicians in capabilities development, weapons system support, and multi-intelligence processing, exploitation and dissemination of intelligence data in support of DCGS operational workflows to meet emerging requirements in Intel-Ops convergence and C2 applications for new customer sets. Apply systems engineering foundations of computer science, including computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations to the AF DCGS architecture. Support the government customers in an Advisory and Assistance (A&AS) role to the IPT based on an understanding of the C2ISR USAF transition and an ever-changing dynamic status; Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance. (April 2010 – May 2011).

Senior Military Intelligence advisor to the Forces Commander while serving as the Chief, Intelligence Officer in support of the United Nations (UN) Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), HQ in Port Au Prince, Haiti.

Directed, supervised and coordinated the activities of MINUSTAH Military Intelligence Branch in support of the Joint Operations Center, Air and Maritime Operations Centers and the Joint Military Analysis Cell (JMAC). Responsible for coordinating intelligence, security, drugs and people trafficking requirements in support of the planning and execution of all sea, Air and Land Operations for a force of over 8,600 combat troops from 19 different countries in a United Nation Chapter 7 Peace Enforcement Mission. Planned, synchronized and coordinated relevant, timely and actionable intelligence in support of Combines and Multi-National operations with the UN Police and the Haitian National Police.

Maintained a high level of competence in Strategic Planning and Operations. Supervises and participates in the activities of the case resolution team, coordinates with other OCR teams, plans and assigns work, assures that quality and quantity requirements are met, evaluates performance, deals with officials of other units in the organization, advises management official at higher levels on group complaints, effects disciplinary actions, recommends personnel actions, and promotes team building.

Duties included providing purpose, direction and motivation for as many as 60 newly inducted Initial Entry Training Soldiers. Coached and mentored Soldiers in project management, instructor for Army history, Drill and Ceremony, Marksmanship, Customs and Courtesies, Physical Fitness, as well as infantry Tactics.

As a Training Director for a basic training company consisting of 24 Personnel/Soldiers, including 12 Drill Sergeants, Drill Sergeant Candidates, Training NCO and 2 Logistic & Supply Personnel.

Responsible for executing established policies and standards pertaining to the training, mentoring, disciplining, health, welfare and physical fitness of all Soldiers, including monitoring Drill Sergeant competence in all areas of basic Soldiering skills; provided assistance and advised the Commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted Soldiers and their families; accompanied the Commander on inspections and accountability formations.

Commander of the Senior ROTC Battalion at Fort Valley State University with partnership/affiliate programs at Albany State University and Dalton College. Department Chair of Military Science at Fort Valley State University 's College of Arts and Sciences; lead a department of 11 experienced faculty, instructors, administrators, and technicians in the education and development of over 155 students/cadets pursuing a pre-professional program resulting in a commission as an Army Officer; commission of 19 second lieutenants annually including one Nurse.
