NEW YORK FARM BUREAU
As a Senior NY Farm Bureau Field Advisor/Educator, supported up to nine counties and individually assisted each local office and its members designing programming on issues impacting farms, including Field to Table, legal, regulatory, employment, environmental and business profitability.
Developed a comprehensive History of NYS Agriculture educational CD encompassing multiple NYS Standards which was distributed to all NYS 7th grades.
Worked on a team to develop a 9 unit, traveling Agriculture Educational Kiosk system including science/ag related jeopardy, quizzes and videos. The system is utilized by thousands of users a year promoting science and agriculture in NYS.
Collaborated with Cornell University researchers to obtain data and scientific reports to create educational programming.
Multiple years of designing, conducting and evaluating a Train the Trainer program for high school educators entitled Food, Land and People which encompassed Science, Social Studies and NYS Standards.
Years of 4H participation, presenting in diverse topics, training leaders and judging programs.
Events management experience, 15 years of organizing a two- day Government Awareness Program for up to 300 high school seniors including informative sessions, educational computer games, tours, speakers etc.
15+ years of organizing, recruiting and training up to 50 Ag volunteers/county. Educated volunteers on government awareness, media communications, law interpretation and public speaking.
