AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Reviewed basic design, drawings and specifications. Ensured the projects meet specifications, standards and performance requirements with the area of process expertise and works on segments of broader or more complex projects, with project team to provide assistance to other engineering disciplines and commercial department regarding process related information. Prioritized and plans for work activities, and additional resources. Understanding of the engineering requirements to calculate and describe phase behavior, and basic unit operations as well as basic properties of materials of construction and translated into drawings and schematics also trends and economic conditions affecting the technical field. Demonstrated ability to create functional and cost effective designs that meet specification requirements.

Piping Engineering piping lay-out, P&ID development, mark-up and review, 3D model review, piping plan, material specification (PMS), material engineering, bill of material (BOM/material take-off) and line list in various above/underground applications such as process piping, power piping, pipeline and firefighting with extensive applied knowledge of related codes and standards including ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.8, ASTM and ANSI.

Static/Fixed equipment Detail design and material selection, procurement, shop drawing, fabrication and construction of fixed and floating roof tanks, oil terminals (tanks up to 360 ft. in diameter) and aviation fuel tanks and related facilities covering all related systems and utilities such as loading and unloading, piping system, firefighting, instrumentation and control, cathodic protection and inventory management system. Utilized API 510, API 570, API 620, API 650, API 653, API 1104 and ASTM

Quality Control and Welding Certified welding inspector (CSWIP 3.1) - Consultant services for piping engineering (material, welding, NDT and painting), preparing welding specification procedure (WPS), spool and steel structure fabrication, assess vendor/contractor/supplier suitability, evaluation and modification of QCP/ITP documents for procurement, fabrication, material supply and material inspection, material traceability, visual inspections and as-build dossier preparation. Utilized ASME II, ASME V, ASME IX, ASME B31.1 and B31.3 for welding, heat treatment and hardness testing compliance.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

AMEC Foster Wheeler Mechanical Engineer 05/2016 – 1/2017

Performed variety of inspections and engineering design for “Union Pacific rail yards fuel and oil storage and handling facilities”. Conducted Fire Hazard Risk Assessment. As client interface, I was detecting the flaws and problems within the whole facilities and cataloging the findings. Inspections were included fuel and oil systems regulations and standards compliance including storage tanks, piping, offloading, and dispensing equipment. Interfaced with on-site client and their support contractors to coordinate facility studies, design efforts, and field activities. Recommended required repairs and prepared labor and material estimates. Identified circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.

JONDISHAPOUR Co. (JSC) 2003 – 2016

Key roles were project engineer and senior Mechanical engineer and responsible for all aspects of the mechanical, piping engineering effort on a project including direct interaction with client management and engineers to ensure technical compliance, staff supervision, pro-services and material cost estimates and trending, reporting to project and departmental management. Material procurement engineering including technical bid evaluation (TBE), and bid analysis (TBA) and bid clarifications (TBC) as well as material requisition and expediting were also part of duties.

Developed project execution plan, and PCM, tracked interim project reports such as progress and cost; managed cost estimation, change orders and risk assessment. Technical meetings were included design review, endorsement package, 3D model review, technical bid evaluation, project presentations, HAZID, HAZOP and safety integrity level (SIL). Representative projects include the following:

- ABS and Rubber Petrochemical Complex (EPC, TIC - $325M)

- North YARAN Oilfield Development (EPC, TIC - $184M)

- Gas Injection for storage and Treatment Facilities, 700 MMSCFD (EPC, TIC - $190M)

- Crude Oil Storage Tank, One Million Barrel Floating Roof Tank (EPC, TIC $14.7M)

- Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 45000 B/d, (C)

- Petrochemical Complex, HDPE and PPPE Plant. (EPC, TIC - $73M)

- Oil Storage Tanks and Terminal Facilities (EPC, TIC - $25M )

- Gas Refinery 14.5 MMSCFPD, Gas 17,000 BBL/Day Condensate, (C)

- Oilfield Production Unit, 22000 BPD (EPC, TIC - $23M)

Key Achievements

• Challenged the pressure rating of 2,500 psi of the total cluster system including twenty by 6” inlet lines and the 236 ft. long 20” manifold. Conducted design basis, process simulation and calculation review and analysis with the objective of lowering the rating of the manifold that ended up with the optimized pressure rating of 150 psi. Performed HAZID, HAZOP and SIL study to consolidate the new recommended manifold’s pressure rating and established safe basis for the operation. Achieved $2.8M cost reduction on procurement, fabrication and installation.

• At final stages of detail design, recommended and managed process simulation and data verification with the objective of examining the possibility of elimination the post-dehydration compressor package. This compression terrain was located after dehydration unit to provide enough pressure to export gas to main gas network pipeline. Studied system operating pressures and pressure drops from reservoir to and within dehydration terrain and metering skids that resulted in elimination of both compressors and related equipment. Achieved significant cost reduction of $25 M.

MAPNA GROUP 2000 – 2003

Mechanical Engineer/QC Dept. Head

Scope of project was erection and construction of 3x100 MW combined cycle power plant (licensed by Siemens AG) included three steam turbines, HRSGs and utility systems.

Duties and responsibility were included inspection, supervision and quality control of manufacturing process for HRSG, pressure parts and structural parts and components. Prepared and implemented Quality Control Plan (QCP), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Installation procedures for power plant units such as cooling system, turbines, generators, HRSGs and Balance of Plant (BOP). Prioritized fabrication, transportation and installation orders. Performed pre-commissioning testes for generator and turbine such as steam out and turbine lube oil flashing. Prepared HP and LP procedures and instructions for flash out for pre-commissioning. Managed Mechanical system preparation for steam turbine synchronization. Reviewed test document, final dossier and data book for approval.
