Worked as a part of the Aon Center for Innovation, Analytics, Strategy, and Management as a Data Analyst and Research intern. The primary business objective is to provide qualitative and quantitative data insights from surveys and other insurance data sources to clients, colleagues, and Insurance carriers. Claims Analytics:

Developed a solid analytical platform for Claims Analytics. This proof of concept platform, which is receiving accolades and appreciations from Chief Claims Officer and other global leaders, will be used to scale-up the business. Financial Risk Analysis is the main focus point. The “Tipping point/Inflection point” was clearly defined so that the business and the clients/carriers know the point of time at which claim cost rise sharply after the claim gets registered.

Market Research and Customer Analytics:

Local Market Planning(LMP) - Prediction of Geographical Opportunity with Clients and prospects based on their geography.

Churn - Prediction of clients Churn at a client level, product level and LOB level based on AON revenue data and publicly available data such as Salesforce, Dun & Bradstreet(D&B), One Source.

Data handling: Worked on a number of datasets that are highly unstructured and handled them efficiently. Consolidated the data and provided key business insights. Launched several internal surveys to capture data.

Analytics: Applied advanced analytical techniques to build predictive models for early claims identification, age of the new claims prediction and to study the important factors responsible for large loss claims, prediction of customer churn, local market planning by predicting geographical opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management - Analyzed transaction data to segment customers to devise marketing strategies. Each customer segment was recognized based on Recency, frequency and monetary scores allocated using RFM Analysis. Built a marketing roadmap for client by identifying customer persona, customizing strategies for each persona. Provided actionable insights through data mining of transaction patterns and buying trends. Built a predictive model to identify the customers who are likely to churn, and estimate potential loss of revenue due to churned customers.

Social Media Marketing – Identify metrics and KPI, state Project Success Criteria, communicate with the stakeholders to increase brand awareness.

Strategic and Tactical Marketing Plan: As a part of marketing subject, I developed marketing plan for one of the products of a global printer manufacturers with the aim of understanding the marketing environment and the marketing activities.

Strategic and New Product Development: Developed a new product idea and implemented the new product development process. The new product development process includes market research, market identification and segmentation, voice of customer analysis, quality function deployment, drafting a business model, value chain analysis, cost analysis, cash flows and financial modeling using Monte Carlo simulation, portfolio management.

Inventory Intermittent Demand Forecasting: Forecasting intermittently demanded, “slow-moving” product items or parts is a problem that is especially known in the capital goods industries. Intermittent forecasting methods were applied to 5 different stock keeping units’ (SKU) time series data to predict the future demand.

COMPETITIONS or CHALLENGES:

Google Online Marketing Challenge 2016- Campaign Management: Partnered with Hindustan pumps, India to develop and execute online marketing for which my team stood as Google AdWords Business Semifinalist securing 37th spot out of 1000 teams from all the regions Americas, EU, Asia-Pacific. The outlined objectives were to get new customers leading to brand awareness and generate leads from potential customers and channel partners. The client Hindustan pumps reported that it received 27 leads from the target audience for products because of this campaign.

Crossing the Chasm Challenge 2017 (April 2017 – July 2017) – Currently, partnering with the social enterprise “The Batik Boutique” to develop the marketing pitch and the marketing plan. Social media marketing strategies are being developed for this competition.
