Created and designed Cognos queries that identified the Top 100 & Top 10 most highly reserved rate discontinued inventory by SKU, Department and Store Location weekly. This list of EOL SKU’s were sent to weekly to Store Operations and Merchandising to place additional emphasis in order to minimize EOQ Inventory Valuation risk. This added store visibility, increased clearance events & reduced inventory valuation risk.
Created an Open to Buy (OTB) report for Inventory forecast vs. prior EOW and EOD in Excel. Cognos queries pulled current owned inventory by department for EOD and EOW. Reports were issued weekly to Inventory Management, Retail RVP’s, Planner’s and VP of Merchandising.
Assessed and assumed the monthly Inventory Forecasting model and process utilized by Inventory Management. Recommended and implemented changes to streamline that process by consolidating the actionable data, which resulted in providing sharper focus and minimizing the forecasting time in half.

For Q2 2011 reduced On Hand reseravable inventory from $5.03M to $2.9M which reduced the reserve by $1.07M. The BSD Inventory Valuation was therefore $1.33M favorable to forecast.
