Work Experience
Mechanical Engineering Intern, Thin Film Electronics. (June 2016 – May 2017)
Designed, tested, and implemented semiconductor process equipment components and tooling using various types of materials like metals, plastic, and quartz ware.
Reverse engineer parts and components for Sputtering, ALD and other processing machines using Solidworks for CAD modeling and drafting.
Maintaining Bills of Materials and managed prototype manufacturing for designs.
Mechanical Engineering Projects
IMPROVEMENT OF AIRCRAFT BRAKES
Worked with Air India to improve the process of brake overhauling, including disassembly of brakes rotors and stators and bolt assemblies.
Designed a composite material seal for the aircraft Boeing 777 brake that blocks carbon dust from entering the piston housing.
Designed Plant layout for the AIR INDIA Component Overhaul Division for the fast, safe and easy overhauling of the components.
THERMAL ANALYSIS OF SFP MODULES AND EMI CAGES
Performed flow simulations on SFP Modules and EMI Cages using ANSYS IcePak to analyze the temperature distribution taking different factors into account like air velocity, contact resistances and radiation etc.
ANALYSIS OF BRAKE ROTOR ASSEMBLY
Successfully analyzed brake rotor assembly using ANSYS Workbench for stress and temperature distribution using nonlinear contact analysis between the brake pad and rotor in transient conditions.
Activities/Awards
Braking Team Member
Was a team member in the braking department for Team Prahaar for the SAE BAJA 2013 held in
Indore, India.
Designed disc brakes for the All-Terrain Vehicle using Catia and Solidworks and manual calculations.
Performed many operations like Welding, Lathe operations for manufacturing of the All-Terrain
Vehicle.
Design Team Member
Worked along with the Design Team of Prahaar Racing for the SUPRA STUDENT FORMULA SAE INDIA 2014 held in Chennai, India.
Helped successfully to design and manufacture Student Formula Race Car for the Supra Student Formula SAE
India 2014 using Solidworks for modelling the car and using ANSYS for the analysis
